I finally got both sets and I like them.  More varied pilots for my Alliance hangar "diorama".  I'm debating on wether or not to replace a couple of TIE fighter pilots with these two or just display them in front of a TIE on the shelf.

That's the same issue with the Shuttle Tyderium and it's not a big deal.

Possibly a couple of Senate guards to replace the POTJ ones I have.

I doubt anyone in the Star Wars universe actually dies.  If they ever do an episode 7, we'll find that The Emperor, Vader, all those pilots, ewoks and construction workers all survived as well.   ::)

I like the new versions (even with original heads).  Ugnaught was always a great background character...even as a kid I had him tinkering away in the rebel base.

I got my vintage Lobot as one of the figures in the Cloud City palyset from Sears as a kid.

I'd like an SA version just to recreate the dancing Lobot from Robot Chicken.   :D
