Ray, I haven't seen too many actual displays of the minis yet. I haven't even opened up most of my collection, and I don't think the gamers actually have their's in a permanent display since they're usually gaming with them. I do know that DaBigKahuna had a pretty decent idea a while back, where he was using multiple CD jewel cases stacked up and staggered in order to make a clear, tiered display. Looked pretty cool. Not entirely sure how I plan to eventually display all of mine yet though.
then I probably shouldn't tell you of the morning I counted 36 Target clones on the pegs and didn't even buy one
Here in MN, they are really hitting the local Targets. (in time for the sale, woot! )
Speaking of which, around here, any time there is a sale at Target, they have to break out the rain checks because they never get in any figures to promote it. What's the deal?
Well I finally made it over here, Matt. Nice little place you got here . I'm just getting into this line and once I grabbed my first booster, it was all over! Now it's time to play catch up. If anyone has a list of extras they have for sale/trade post a link for me. I am looking for all ROTS, CS, and some RS and Universe. As of now the only notables I have to spare would be 2x Thrawn and a Nute Gunray from the Universe line. Also, where is the best place to buy cases?
Ray your best bet will be F & S. They give a pretty good discont on cases there. I think they're sell Universe cases for under $70.
Well, I found these today over lunch. After opening my first one, I decided that he is much better than I was expecting so I went ahead and opened the other one I bought.
They match up pretty well with the K-Mart Clones in color which is nice (I wasn't expecting that after seeing that the Bly/Evo paints were off-key). Also, it feels like the joints on these guys are stronger. Compared to the AT-TE Gunners I've got, the 501 Clones arms stay in the sockets much better, which is a nice surprise.
The red stuff on the feet is a little lame, but I guess there is nothing I can do about it.... I still wonder why they did that since the 501st were pretty much only on Coruscant from what I understood.
The helmet is definitely removable, and the clone underneath still has that "vacant" open-mouthed stare that the AT-TE Gunner had. I guess I like the removable helmet, so it's a plus.
Despite the limits of the arms on the #38 sculpt, they are still pretty cool Clones and I'm glad I found them.
And, just in case Hasbro's reading... even though I've got 5 blue clones, I'd still be willing to buy a few 501st repaints of the #41 Trooper to fill out my squad!
Any word yet if there is production number on these? Are these shipping in cases of 6?
