I also remember this day.  I was coming home from a half-day of mid term exams in 9th grade.  I walked in the door and my brother told me the shuttle had blown up.  I didn't believe him at first, but then they showed the first replay.  I sat in front of the television completely stunned for the rest of the evening.

This does look cool.  I'm guessing that this will also be for the PC version? Odd that the article doesn't mention it.

This is a tough one for me, because all of my collection is special to me.  I do have a few stand-outs though:

-All my vintage items, because they are the toys from my childhood.

-My Obi-Wan MR sabers, although I have yet to lay eyes on my EE saber, it is in my house though.

-My Star Wars Weekends Plush Jedi and Vader Mickey Mouses, just because they're odd and not many people have them.

-My Theater Edition Lukes, my Toy Fair Vaders just because they are probably the rarest newer line items I own. Again, not a monetary thing, just something not everyone has.

The studio scale items are way out of my price range.  Hell, I've been pushing it with the sabers.  They do look nice though.

As far as the Vader Helmets go, what a shame that MR dropped the ball on shipping these.  For the price each one of those helmets are, they should arrive in pristine condition.  Are the getting damaged in shipping due to bad packaging or was it something else?

I always have these movies in my "morale bag" when I go on alert.  If it's particularly quiet, and no good sports to watch, I'll pop one of them in.  I managed to get through 2 and a half of the EE movies on alert once.

I got my shipping notification today and it will be here on Wednesday.

The bad news is that I fly to New York on Tuesday.  :-\

Hmmm.  I don't know if I'll rejoin the CS or not.  Sure the saber's kind of cool and it is a Star Wars item, but I doubt they are going to make any more Obi-Wan items that I'd have trouble getting unless I were a CS member.

Oh well...something to think about I guess.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Battlestar Galactica...who's watching?
« on: January 18, 2006, 06:10 PM »
I kind of agree with you.  Although I think Adama knew something was up.  Also, if Pegasus is a lot larger than Galactica, the rationale for sending the XO and a bunch of Marines over there for added protection might fly.

Oh well...still a great show!

I always thought it was two people.  Red Leader says "Pick up your visual scanning!" and someone else (Gold Leader?) says, "Here they come!"

I just finished up the last book of this series The Swarm War.  I thought overall it was pretty good, but they left a lot of things just open-ended at the end.

I won't go too into it until everyone has had a chance to read it.
