I think a D+ is being generous... ::)
Your right. Would've given it a lower grade, but I'm saving the F for a truely hidious episode.

Well would you look at that, I had time to do my RAW Review! :)

PROS:

- RVD vs. Christian was a pretty good match. Plus, RVD took some sick bumps.
- The S.*.*.*. segment was pretty funny this week.
- The Coach is gone
- Jericho carried (literally) Nash to an OK match, and won to boot!
- The Women's match was decent. Plus Gail Kim's new suit looked good.

CONS:

- Bischoff/Linda. 'Nuff said. I don't even want to begin to describe all the things wrong with that. They never finished the Bischoff/Steph Halloween Kiss angle, what makes you think that they will finish this one? I hope that this goes into another WCW vs. WWE angle with Bisch as WCW's leader, but that will never happen.
- The highlight reel was a big mess that was pretty lame. We all knew what was coming, just like it does before every ppv.
- Test/Steiner v. 1,234,567.0 was un-neccesary
- The "strip show" was an insult to wrestling fans. WTF was that? A couple jobbers get all excited seeing a woman that is owned by another co-worker dance? At least try and make it seem somewhat realistic.
- Goldberg/Orton - meh. Who cares? Everyone knew Goldberg was gonna make quick work of him. Once again, I will say that Orton is being crammed down our throats.
-Why show Storm and Goldust if they didn't even do anything?
-Nash looked like the 1999 Jeff Jarrett at the end.

All in all, this was the basic filler RAW, which did nothing but hye Summerslam. I'll give it a  D+ this week.

Episode 1 / Re: Please tell me I'm seeing things!
« on: August 15, 2003, 08:09 PM »
I'm really glad that no one fell for that one...  That is a sad attempt to try to fool someone.  Wasn't EPI Mace a peg warmer? ::)

Not around here. A friend had told me that he was rare, so I picked one up the first time I saw it. I never saw the figure again.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What do you buy at the Movie Snack Counter?

Usually, I smuggle my candy in, unless I don't have time to stop by the local grocery store.

At the theater, I get a Medium Popcorn (with butter), a Medium Lemonade (And I am ALWAYS asked if I want to make it a large for a quarter. A guy once told me that they are forced to ask that, though), and I get Reese's Pieces for candy.

 :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Power Outage
« on: August 14, 2003, 09:05 PM »
I hope that the people are all safe. Hopefully this will be over soon. Anybody know what caused the power outage?

It's so stupid of the media keep thinking that this is a Terrorist attack. ****ing retards! Terrorists don't cut off power! They do evil things like crash planes into buildings and blow people up! What a bunch of morons. This is not a 9/11 part two, so stop comparing it to a power outage!

CNN has even come up with an official promo and animation: Blackout 2003. ::)

I'd like to say that this will be my last Monday Night RAW review, because I start school on Wednesday. I won't be able to stay up late enough to write my review, so look for it every Tuesday.

RAW Thoughts:

PROS:
-The Goldust/Lance Storm segment was hilarious. Why not let the two wrestle?
-The Rosey/Hurricane segment/match was funny as well.
-Goldberg vs. Flair was a pretty good match.
-JR is back!
-Bischoff vs. Kane was booked perfectly. It hyped the RVD/Kane match, the Shane/Bischoff match, and added more to Kane's character.
-Highlight Reel was awesome. The best part of the show IMO. Jericho had better win the Hair vs. Hair match.
-Triple H did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
-Christian actually got a clean win. Hopefully they will make him look like a strong champ this time.

CONS:
-The opening segment was pretty useless/boring.
-Mixed Tag Match was okay, but I wish that they would just end the Test/Steiner feud. It's boring, and Steiner has no mic skills "Your mass is bline!"
-Women's Triple Threat was pointless. I just know that this is setting up Lita's return.
-Dudley's vs. La Resistance was pointless, just building up for the SS match. What's with the new tights?
-Where was Theodore Long?
-Orton looked like Stacy Keibler in those HBK shorts.
-The Spike TV logo was an eyesore. I hope that they don't plug the network every week.
-Why have Bischoff/McMahon Part II? It was pretty weak the firt time. The only difference is that Shane will take a major bump.

Overall, I give the show a B-. It was pretty good at times, and it was pretty bad at times. 2 weeks until Summerslam and only 3 matches have been announced?

Holy frickin' cow.

Lords of Pain.net is reporting that Booker T hurt his back on the Austrailian tour last week, and lost the IC Title to Christian at a House Show on Saturday. The original plan for Summerslam was to have a fatal 4 way between Booker, Christian, Stiener, and Test. Now that Christian has the belt, the current plan is to have Christian defend against Hurricane at Summerslam (!!!).  :o

My personal fav. was the Fog Horn at the golf course... I must admit I'm guilty of doing drive-by air hornings at a particular course around town.
This was my favorite part of the film as well. I also like the ending where the one guy sticks the toy car up his butt. ;D

Saga '02-'04 / Re: New JABBA COMING-From ROTJ or ANH!!!
« on: August 10, 2003, 08:04 PM »
I like the idea about the new head with the moveable/removeable tongue, but an old torso? >:( If they don't use the Vintage mold, then I'm guessing that they will either be using the POTF2 body (From the Han 2pack, with moving tail), or the Jabba Glob mold.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: ANIMATED cartoon CW figures coming?

I'll have to wait and see photos of them, but right now my answer is NO, I WILL NOT BUY THEM.

LEGO / Re: Brown Lando Coming!
« on: August 10, 2003, 12:35 PM »
Well, I don't know if I've already mentioned this, but the set will be a Shop @ Home Exclusive. You can preorder it starting tomorrow, and I believe that it comes out in October.

Also, I've heard that the Landing Pad can't fit the Falcon, but it can fit Jango's Slave 1.

Announcements / Re: Chris Rhoads' EXCLUSIVE Hasbro Interview!
« on: August 9, 2003, 11:52 PM »
Nice interview, but the answers weren't anything I haven't heard before. ::)

If they are waiting for stores to pick up the exclusive stuff, such as the Sandcrawler and Cantina Sets, then why not just ship them to all of the stores?

Sorry about the photo, I'll be more carefull next time. :)

Found some more pics:

The landing pad looks like a waste of space, IMO. I also think that $70 would be a more reasonable price. FBTB has also said that there might be more sets that add on to this one.   :o

Now where's Mace Windu?  ;)
