Revenge of the Sith / Re: When will the ROTS clearances start?
« on: January 2, 2006, 11:12 AM »
It's been a weird clearance season for me. Not only was there nothing really for me to look for to get to the store, but there wans't much in the way of product on the shelves anyway. Almost all of the stores near me were bare. I did manage to pick up a Plo Koon fighter and TIE fighter on clearance though.

Uh, dude, if you read the description it says:

"NOTE: This item is not available for shipment from Hasbro until January of 2006."

You'd be better of preordering a case from EE.

Kill_Solo - I don't think that was a very appropriate way of explaining your thoughts. In fact it's downright rude.

Really? Hmmm.... interesting.

I'm sure you didn't mean for it to come across that way,  It was probably just me over analyzing your comment.

 :P

This bickering is pointless.... ;D

Ironic how a non-movie year goes RIGHT back to the same old song and dance as in the past despite riding an incredible high of Star Wars love through the holiday season.  A very dumb**** move on retail's part IMO...

What a breath of fresh air to hear someone blame the right party, and not Hasbro, for this.

I remember seeing some of these on e-bay and thinking someone was insane for charging so much for what was obviously a kit-bash fake. Little did I know.

Because of the kids, my wife and I don't get to go to the movies together often. Anyway, she saw King Kong last night and though it was one of the best movies she's ever seen.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Actual Star Wars "fan" figure ????

The idea has some merit. I could be similar to the thing that GG sometimes does at Comi-con, hold raffles to have people win a stormtrooper bust of themselves.

Glad I finished collecting variations back with the POTF2 line. :P

Although, the Chewie with the smaller chain connector looks much better than the big one. :P

I'm still having trouble with getting the Anakin to Vader, Clone Set Version 1, and the Sith set.

Back in mid October, I saw these sitting at WM and Target an hour west of where you are. :(

I saw a plain white cone 3-pack, on clearance, when I picked up my Jedi Fighters, but left it. I really don't like the three packs. However, I still kept remembering when I left all the CW 3-packs on clearance and then how much trade value they held months later. It'll probably be the same for the ROTS ones, but I still don't want to take the risk that they won't. :P

Mine arrived yesterday (in the US.) Pictures often just can't do figures justice, and that's especially the case for Chewie. The head sculpt is great, a much better that the VOTC version. Leia is also a nice looking figure. I could leave the Luke and R2 though.

I saw Munich a couple of nights ago. Definately one of Speilberg's better looking movies in a long time and certainly on par with Shindlers List and Private Ryan.
