Also, where does the image come from? It looks like both Yodasnews and GH took the image from EE and slapped their watermarks on it.

Those are definitley Hasbro images. Looks like they lit them with the orange ROTS lighting to slap on a background like the #1-56 poster. They'll probably show up on RS, too, once they're done Photoshopping in their blue background to make the figures look like they're in Scum's possession.  ::)

Okay. Then another question. When has a provided loose figure picture been different than that of the final product? In other words, is there any hope that the 501st can still be on the #41 body?

Potential limited quantity does stink. What's that work out to? Less than 10 per store? Also, I would assume the order can be left open ended.

Hopefully, we can take some comfort in the fact that EE posts that the images may be prototypes.

Anyone know which version of the Deer Hunter is coming out ?  Is it a longer cut?  One of the most disturbing movies I have ever seen, but still love.

Great movie. Don;t knoe if it need to be a longer cut though. :P

Hey for anyone whose interested, I watched the V original Mini-Series DVD with commentary which was awsome! At the end, Kenneth Johnson (the show creator, writer and director) gives out his e-mail address - and it works. He wrote me back and it was definately not a from e-mail.

I have to agree with the neigh-sayers. While highly articulated figures like the new Pilot Obi-Wan should be satndard and are always welcome, puting them on vintage-esque cards would be just be wrong IMO.

Can anyone tell me when the Snowtrooper/Veers battlepack is coming out?

According to Amazon, 9/5. But, since when has Amazon been known to accurate? :P

Yeah, Jason, I'd really like to take comp pics (both of the old and new TIEs and next to the PFX Xwing) but most of my stuff is in storage due to a move. I'm kinda improvising at the moment.

I'd love to see these, at least until I'm able to score a new Tie.

The pictures you took look nice though, definately in scale with itself. ;)

They should also be re-shipping the Red Shocktrooper in the Collection 1 case as well.

Black clone pilot as well.

For the new figures, these are great cases, they handle the Technical ops Clones in collection 2 well, but after getting over the initial excitement, I realized that the repaints were missing from the collection 1 mix. :(

Dispite all the Vaders shipping, I think they will still sell.

I don't know if it had been 100% confirmed, but the person who found this locally said that the Pilot included was indeed the first release POTF2 Pilot. Not the Saga Pilot and not even the revised POTF2 Pilot with articulated knees.

What a dissapointment, but not a surprise.

I'm not one to be overly negative, but these blow. I'm really surprised sometimes at the lack of quality of the exclusive offerings.

I couldn't wait wait to bust open the clone set when I got it home. Overall, the set is great and very high quallity and it's praise is well justified. However, I just wanted to throw out a couple of nit-picker observations that do detract slightly from these guys.

First, Jared is right about the lack of waist articulation on both the AOTC clone and the sandie. Why was this done? Who knows? I also felt that the hands on the Sandtrooper should have been rescuplted to better carry his weapon. It takes a bit of work for it fit in. Finally, the neck on the ROTS clone could have been a bit longer to fit the helmet better.

I think all of these have been mentioned somewhere before, but I just wanted throw in my concuring opinion.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target Figure with Cup Sets

The ROTS cups flew of the shelves though but regular Saga ones must be cursed or something.

They're still moving around here. Han was the only cup that really ever sat around. I'm guessing it's going to be the same for Leia with this new wave.

Anyway, I was wondering if everyone else's AT-TE Gunner figure was missing the black "bodysuit" paint applications near the shoulder joints on the torso?

I just checked the few that I have and they are all like that. ;)

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Carkoon Wave
« on: August 22, 2005, 10:00 AM »
I'm wagering we'll see the first of it maybe around December or so Paul.  Maybe not till into '06 though.  I wouldn't say I'm rots'd out yet though, but I definitely could use some classic army builder figs after buying Clones for so long.

The figure releases are like car releases. We'll see the '06 models by years end. November or December.

At $40, I'll pick up one for sure to open. Anything beyond that is questionable. Depends on what else is being released at the time. I have to agree that this item will definately not move as well as other exclusives. At $50, a 12" speederbike is one thing, that's a big toy. The Tie fighter isn't big for $40, this will deter casual collectors, parents (of the non-collecting variety,) and scalpers.
