Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases
« on: July 17, 2005, 02:59 PM »
I pick up an other couple of clone troopers today.  I'm still in need of a red and green Clone 3-pack, I have two blue for trade. :P

At least AP fessed up as to what happend with the R5 units. I mean, what would we rather have if a new mold was just not possible, no R5's or the POTF2 mold? I hate to say it, but under those conditions, I think they did the right thing. Otherwise we'd have another carded Wedge on our hands.

Thanks Jared for the conformation. Do they have any explaination for doing this? I think it's funny that you say they knew we woudn't be happy which begs me to wonder what happens durring those proposal meetings. Does anyone stand up and say, "you know the collectors are going to piss and moan?"

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: RS deletes accounts
« on: July 17, 2005, 02:32 PM »
I think by accident. At least I hope. I just got another message from one of the Admins. He said there's no guaruntees that my account, and those likewise deleted, can be saved, but they are working on it.

Perhaps some of the tech guys around here can give me some insight. How can this happen? Is it possible that accounts are scattered accross various servers and that the server my acoount was on is down or got erased? Why would there not be a back up?

I have certainly rocked the boat a bit over there, but by no means have I warranted even a warning about anything, let alone getting completely removed. I certainly have never flamed another member nor harshly critizied the staff. In fact, I was asked to be a moderator only two months ago, so I can assume that this is an unfortunate technical issue.

But it is a bummer, my existance on RS has been totally erased. :P

Well, something strange seems to be happening over at RS. My account seems to have been deleted according to administration. It's a little frustrating because, as par for the course, I was given no explaination nor offered any suggestions as to what to do next. I was also told that I was not the only one in this boat and that there was very little that they could do.

This seemed to happen when the forum went down on Friday. Has anyone else had this happen?

What are your thoughts? Thanks.

EDIT:

WOW! I just did some more checking, every post I ever made has been removed.

staff edit:  just changing the name of this thread since it appears it has drifted far from where it started... Jeff

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Can Sith Beat Titanic?

I think #8 is a no-brainer. Movies in the dying weeks are funny, they can still earn a few mill each week and hang in there. I don't think #7 is too far fetched.

I'm waiting with baited breath for a detailed account of the Q&A. The real version with the hard hitting questions, not the watered down versions that those "other" sites give.

After seeing the picture, I like the look, but am glad it's EU so I woun't have to Army build with it. ;)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Secret Figures!?
« on: July 16, 2005, 12:11 PM »
Crap, Star Wars Chase figures? Screw that ...

I'll buy em if I find em, but I'm not going out of my way to get these friggin repaints.

I don't think they're chase figures. Sure they are one per case, but a lot of figures are one per case and who is to say that latter assortment won't include two or be army building cases?

Actually, it looks like the Star Case they're packing the holo-Leia in would fit the new card design well.

I'm going to like getting back to some good old OT stuff. Beyond the anounced Hoth wave, I would imagine there will be a Tatooine wave based on the Sandtrooper with Black Paldrun, so we know we're going to get a little PT break.

Lack of an R5 unit irritates me as well. We should get on EE's case for not demanding one as a condition of carrying the exclusive. But then again, when has the exclusives branch of Hasbro ever willingly done new sculpts?

They teased us by saying the Hoth wave will have a few figures not done in this scale before.

Good news. :D New figures, not re-scuplts! Derlin would be an awsome chocie, fill in the remaining Vintage gap. Clone pilots would rock as well. Also, with some figures never done before, who's to say others can't be resculps?

Come on SA Snowtrooper and a propper Veers!

The figureare are looking like improvements over their earlier couterparts, but Boush's helmet does look a bit too big at the moment. What worries me is that we're getting 3 repacks as well. I hope they at least repaint the Barada to match the one on Luke and Han's Skiff.
