BBTS has a box of 12 for $194.99. More than $16 apiece!

I got these from Officialpix.com for $9.99 a couple of weeks ago. They still seem to be in stock if anyone is interested.

Well, there will be fewer places where you can get them, obviously, but more serious is the fact that once something like this becomes exclusive to a single chain, it is pretty much guaranteed that they will eventually die out.

Is that all Muggs or just the Star Wars ones?

It is annoying, but I can only assume that they have information that we aren't privvy to. Maybe the Muggs aren't doing quite as well as they appear to be. I'd certainly rather have these dumb exclusives than nothing (as happened with the Indiana Jones line).

On a related note, was the Droids-style R2-D2 only released as a carded version? And was the C-3PO only released in the TRU boxed set?

I have to agree that I like the OT ones a lot better. I wish they would come out with some more major characters from the PT, like Qui-Gon, young Anakin/Obi-wan, etc. It might make me more enthusiastic. I can do without all of the clone variations personally (although I'll admit that I've bought them all up until now...)

The OT ones are the only ones I really have out on display at the moment, but I don't think I can get rid of the PT ones -- at least not all of them. Might think about scaling back a bit.

I did get the shirtless Maul and Darth Revan the other day at Walmart. They're both very nice. The new Maul is a lot more impressive looking than the old one I think.

Wow, this kind of took me by surprise. I'm even more surprised that it's essentially another "series" release and not a boxed set or something. I'll have to figure out a way to get these. You'd think that having in-laws in Japan would be a big advantage, but there are still a lot of issues that have to be worked out for them to be able to help me get releases like this. One problem is that they don't like to use their credit card online and most places won't accept a foreign card. And I don't like to burden them by asking them to do a bank transfer or something.

BBTS has one of the series 10 boxes available again, after I ordered one. I'm not sure I'll keep it, but I wanted to have one on order in case a better deal doesn't present itself.

Well, it is actually true that the dollar has dropped significantly versus the yen. A few months ago it was 115 yen to the dollar. Now it's just under 90 yen to the dollar -- that more than a 20% change making it the lowest it's been for more than a decade. So I actually think that's a big factor. I get paid in yen, so I follow it pretty closely.

Yeah, I was really disappointed that they killed the Indy Muggs. You'd think they could release them as Hasbrotoyship exclusives or something, considering they were already designed. I'd pay more than the usual price. We at least needed a Toht and Young Indy. Satipo would have been nice, but I could do without Irina.

That's how it starts...

Where'd you get an Indy Mugg for $3 though?

Haven't seen that these would found by anyone on JD, but I saw that two faced Vader, Darth Revan, Hoth Han and Shirtless Maul this am at a Wal-Mart.  They were in a cart with some other various toys (it was during the time the section is stocked) so I'm thinking they were being restocked.  I really wanted to get them, but didn't have the money to do it, so I had to put them back.  :'(

In particular I wanted the Hoth Han and maybe the Revan.  I've got the first Maul and Vader, so those two are less exciting for me.  No sign of Tarkin or Plo Koon, and there were only those four, no where in the Star Wars section, or Marvel, or Indiana Jones section were there any other of the new MMs.
I got Hoth Han, the new Vader, Plo Koon, and Tarkin the other day. I like the new Vader a lot more than I thought I would. The helmetless head is great, and he's actually a totally different design from the other Vader I have. Plus you can remove his hand like with Bespin Luke. Here are some pictures, including a comparison of the old and new Vaders.

Got these guys a few days ago. They were one of the few main series Kubricks I didn't have. I wanted them, but never found a good deal -- series 3 seems to be the hardest to find for whatever reason. I particularly wanted a C-3PO because I have the Sideshow life-sized droids coming early next year and I figured I should have them both in Kubrick form. Anyway, I got them while the Live.com ebay discount was at 30%, which brought the price down from "obscene" to merely "ridiculous."  ;D I'm keeping Han in carbonite bagged since I already have one that I got for $3 or $4 in Japan when I was there.

I just have a couple of the bounty hunters left and I will have all the normal series SW kubricks.
