After seeing the movie a second time, I enjoyed it much more. I simply had to tell myself that it's a prequel and that I shouldn't expect anything different. If I was 13, I'd probably love it like I loved ROTJ at one point, but after becoming a lover of great film, it's nothing more than a guilty pleasure.

Another Saturday, another decent score! I found Wave 3 deluxe a Target. It was R1 with the white clones.

Fun tidbit:

A Target employee pulled the case out for me. The employee was pulling each one out of the case for me, as the clones came out, a hand out of nowhere reached and grabed the clones, saying, I'll take that one. I said "dude, I asked for the box." Luckily the Target employee was ultra cool because he totally backed me up. There was only one per case of everything. Yoda and Vader were left overs from wave 2. I let the other guy have the Vader since I had him already. The guy the asked me which ones were hot. Some people.

With that, I offically have every 3 3/4' item released to date. However, I heard another unconfirmed report of #45-47 being found.  :P

Gary Kurtz, plain and simple.

Everyone can write and analize why the PT is substandard from now until the end of time, but the true difference between the OT and PT is all Gary Kutz.

Gary Kutz knows how to make what is inside George Lucas's head work, and if Lucas didn't let him go for pushing Lucas into excellence, ROTJ and the PT would be every bit as good as ANH and ESB.

Agreed. This was the best duel of the entire series. It was well protographed, well perforemed and well edited.

The Opera scene in ROTS is comming in a close second to me.

Without going into an in depth review, I think ROTS is by far the most sloppy of all the Star Wars films. It was rushed, poorly edited, had amaturish f/x and couldn't decide what movie it wanted to be. Dissapointing.

What sets the PT apart form the OT is that the OT films were meticulously made. Every detail was scrutinized by people who lost sleep over making every shot, every line and every bit of subtext work (at least in ANH and ESB.) The PT did not have that love and care and it shows.

One undisputable fact, Lucas created an excellent story, and ROTS is no exception. However, the perfect formula was reached in TESB with a top notch screenwriter, no BS producer and director who understands characters and relationships. If this formula was followed, ROTS could have been as great as ESB.

I've made this suggestion on another site, but wanted to see what you guys thought.

I think build your own "modular" playsets would be very cool and could do well. Think about it, two or three different imperial set packs, each containing various wall, floor/ceiling and support beam pieces that are designed to fit to geather in infinate combonations. In each pack, they can feature a different set piece like control consels, stair cases, elevator shafts, etc.

This can be done for Bespin city, Tanive IV, Hoth...

Here's another yes vote.

The very nature of an exclusive sets the collector against the scalper. It's inherit conflict tends to hurt the collector the most. In this crummy world where people care about making a couple bucks more than having an item to appreciate, I don't think the human race is mature enough to handel exclusive Star Wars toys.

Still lots of wave one around here, but not so much that it's totally prevented wave 2 from hitting. However, I have yet to come accross a fresh case.

I hope the Target sale will get rid of enough of them to bring on waves 2 and 3 in full force!

Wow! If these weren't 3 3/4", I'd barely give these a second thought, but they are, so now my tenticals are flapping.

Yeah, cost and space are going to be the big concerns. Unless I buy a bigger house, and Hasbro doesn't release any product for 4 months back to back, I'm going to have to admire someone elses. :-[
