Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Diorama Filler Websites

Found this today, the site has lots of WWII stuff and the link above says for Joes but they're certainly passable for SW.

The Prequel Trilogy / Anakin vs. Sidious
« on: October 8, 2008, 02:35 PM »
Could Anakin have beaten Palps when he reveals himself as a Sith in his office?  There almost looks like there is fear in Palps eyes when Anakin has his saber held to him.  So what if Anakin gave into anger and darkside Anakin or not killed him, either way Palps would be dead.

I know purists will probably hate me for even considering this.  But what i really kinda mean I guess would be an updated, not just cleaned up, version of the whole Endor space/planet battle.  Really when you look at the walkers on Endor it's almost sad the whole stop motion is just unbelievably outdated looking.  And with the battle above and the rebels using mostly blockade runners and the transports from ESB and medicial frigate as their main fleet besde 3 or 4 Mon Cals ships is pretty sad.  I'd like to see something more exciting along the line like ROTS and maybe some Federation ships that are "modified" by the Rebels.  I'd like to see the entire attack on the DS in ANH redone all CG.  Anybody else feel the same way or will be hung from a tree by my thumbs for starting this thread?

The Original Trilogy / It's a trap!!
« on: October 8, 2008, 02:14 PM »
Just finished watching ROTJ for billionth time and it struck me that when Lando says Han will have that shield down we gotta give him more time, how does he know they weren't already captured and THAT is how the Imps trapped them in the first place.  Wouldn't you think Han's mission failed and the whole reason that the DS is jamming them and they're now surrounded by STD's that someone on Han's team was interogated and spilled the beans.  Strategically wouldn't you run instead of waiting around and see if eventually the shield fails, as it was they were just captured by the Imps when the fleet exits hyperspace.

with all the comics, and books and what not that takes place between EP II & III yet there is no mention of Ahsoka whatsoever how does this effect the timeline/story of Anakin?  There's quite a few comics with Obi/Ani run around together is she dead already or what she can't have graduated to knighthood in say a years time.

The Legacy Collection / Legacy Collection Rumors
« on: June 11, 2008, 12:43 PM »
Didn't find one for the regular collection but if there is please lock this.

The otheR Site posted some pretty interesting things.

Following up on the Star Destroyer rumor, we've gotten some reports of more updated vehicles, assuming the "BMF" (Big Millennium Falcon) and AT-TE sell well enough to show that the fans will support larger-scale vehicles.

- Clone Turbo Tank
- E-Wing Starfighter
- Landspeeder
- Sith Starfighter
- Slave I
- Star Destroyer
- TIE Defender
- TIE Fighter
- TIE Interceptor
- X-Wing Fighter

It's kind of over the place, isn't it? So think of these as big time "what if?" possibilites for now. After all, there are only so many Jedi Starfighter repaints that can be done...something new has to come out eventually, right?

Despite the long-standing stance that playsets don't sell well enough to warrant to costs involved, our spies have uncovered word of a pair of playsets/dioramas for the future. Again, consider this one of those wwwaaaayyyyy out there rumors, and not any kind of oicial confirmation.

- Death Star (possibly more than one)
- Forward Base Alpha (?)

As with any rumor list, take this all with a grain of salt, because it's not official, and may just be idle speculation.

Mace states something to this effect, sorry I don't have the exact quote, your thoughts?  Was this a gradual thing so that the Jedi might not notice.  Was it in all aspects of there use of the Force to make them weaker?  Or maybe just in the area of foresight?  And when the Purge comes about does this blockage to the Force disappear since there is hardly any Jedi left for Palpy to care/worry about, or is this blockage continued because afterall even though Yoda could not defeat Sidious Yoda still is the most powerful left of the Jedi and keeping a proverbial thumb over him might keep him in that weak spot.  If this lessened ability to use the Force is still in effect around Luke's time then after Palpy's death could there be an almost rush of Force that Luke had never known because it'd been blocked to him?

The Prequel Trilogy / A power only one has achieved....

Who is Sidious refering to.  By all the implications he's probably referring to Plageus, but is he?  At the opera he seems to be blowing smoke up Ani's a$$ just to get him over to the darkside, with the whole the darkside can save those from dying but then after Mace's death he drops the bomb that if we work together I'm sure we can figure out the secret.  In all truthfulness Padme really didn't have that much time for them to figure it out did she? even if things didn't happen the way they did she was already close enough to giving birth, where Ani had already had visions of her death.  Could Sidious have been referring to Qui-Gon?  Maybe Sidious didn't know who it was that had lived on, or maybe he didn't let on to Ani who it was otherwise why would he go over to the darkside.  Perhaps Sidious felt some sort of prescense or influence in the Force that wasn't there before, or like Yoda felt during the Tusken slaughter he too heard Qui-Gon's voice.

The Original Trilogy / TIE Fighters
« on: March 26, 2008, 06:23 PM »
Since Tie's don't have hyperspace capability are there perhaps hyperspace rings for them?, or would they be hyperspace squares  :P

Just thinking that maybe in a circumstance instead of some sort of capital ship carrying a load of TIE's would it be possible for maybe a 1/2 sqaud to fly in some how for whatever reason, maybe just to relieve another group of TIE's/ replacements.

Your thoughts?

Watto's Junk Yard / That makes 4!!!
« on: October 30, 2007, 06:13 PM »
Well after being out and away from computer  :( and work   ;D for a week I'm back with brand new baby boy.  This makes 4 for the wife and I 3 girls and 1 boy final score.  Of course having a baby is a blessing in itself but being a boy now the last one has really gotten me excited finally someone to pass down the mountain of figures  ;).  Both mommy and baby are fine.  His name is Cristian Hayden.  8.2 lbs. and 20 inches.  And potentially he might have my green eyes but the Dr. says that it takes a couple weeks for them to have a permanent color and that they could change still, but with my girls they all have my wife's brown eyes.

It has made me think a lot after losing our third child six months into the pregnancy.  On one hand we didn't get the opportunity with her that we are now having with him, but if she'd been born like she was supposed to then we never would've had our son.  It's wierd almost bitter sweet kind of thing, but we're still very happy and excited about him, best of all he sleeps through all the big/medium sisters fighting.  Pics soon to come.

The Original Trilogy / Dutch or is it Hutch
« on: September 11, 2007, 05:17 PM »
After watching ANH I don't know how many times at work with sound off but subtitles on I caught something I've never noticed before.

After Gold 5 exits the DS trench having the other 2 Y-wings shot down,Gold Leader & Gold 2, by Vader he radio's over to Red leader and, according to the captions reads: "Gold Five to Red Leader, lost Tiree, lost Hutch."  Red Leader actually then answers "I copy, Gold Leader" despite him just saying that he was Gold Five. "They came from behind." is Gold Five's last words.

Long explaination I know but a little funny that he's been refered to as Dutch Vander when it really should've been Hutch.  Don't know where his back story came from,'s a little something that the Wook has to say on them.

30th Anniversary Collection / WHO IS LEFT MASTER ARCHIVE ???
« on: February 7, 2007, 01:33 PM »
Didn't want to start my own thread about this, but the thread that OCB has set up for us is great.  Just wondered if anybody out there, preferrably those with better and faster computer skills then myself, would be able to put together something of a who's left list that would include what driods are left to make.  We're getting the demo driod, LIN I believe, that comes with the Jawa, and also CZ-3 in wave 4.  So just wondering what others are left out there that need to be made, or maybe updated-EV-9D9 could certainly use an update.  Also maybe add to the same thread or another thread what other officers are left both Empire and Rebels that are left.  After watching some of the OT in slow motion there's certainly a variety.  What would have been cool if Hasbro did some sort of variation.  Like for instance in ANH there's DS Gunners without gloves, and in ESB there are grey jumpsuit guys, like the AT-ST drivers minus hemet and gloves.  Sorry not good at starting my own threads but I really dig OCB's as a reference point and think my idea is pretty sound.

Saga Collection '06 / New Variation of Endor Rebel Found......
« on: December 14, 2006, 04:40 PM »
....... well at least that I what I thought at first.  While I've found plenty of the black camo pants Endor trooper I've actully found only 3 of the white tan pants trooper.  Seeing that I really like the tan legs for customs I've been seeking him out more than the other.  So I go to Target today to see what they have and see a couple figs deep on the peg the pic on the bottom left of the package, cool maybe luck will hold out and I'll score some more custom fodder.  Here's where it gets kinda funny.  As soon as I look at it I see the white face but green pants.......whoa Hasbro either is releasing another running change on this fig and nobody has heard about it or someone in the factory screwed up and mixed the parts from the 2 variations that are already out.  :D  Then I looked more closely.  >:( It turns out that the Figure is actually the Endor trooper from the original Saga line in Saga 2 packaging.  Not only is that almost funny, but that's not all.  The head was the "bearded"-Rykrof Enloe-version with the beard "shaved" off, you could still see specks of brown aroung his chin.  And to top it off he was holding a Jango Fett blaster pistol.  I almost wanted to buy just to get a picture of it and post it.  The thing was to it didn't look at all like it had been tampered with  and figure fit perfectly into the Saga 2 plastic, having the wiiide leg stance and all.
