The Vintage Collection / Re: 2019 TVC Luke Skywalker's X-Wing Fighter
« on: September 27, 2019, 04:18 PM »
Looks good, and am I crazy or is the "glam" shot missing one of the engine intakes?!?  :P

I think the costumes are different on Starsher and Doallyn slightly but yeah, couldíve done Doallyn who kind of has a prominent moment of being shoved down stairs like a punk b.

I never liked all the retconning and stuff either.  Too much nonsense.  There is this hoard of new people who seem to think all the old EU was great and Disney kind of trampling on it is blasphemous, but man old EU was at best 50/50 in terms of quality and I think my assessment is being generous. 😕

If I could "like" a post, this would be it. I think the 50/50 ratio is being generous... most of it was dreck.

For getting one sent overseas?  No clue...  not cheap from what Iíve heard though.  People overseas have passed on US sales because the shipping I guess made it so prohibitive (on top of what the seller wanted I assumed).

Yeah, specifically for Canada. A buddy of mine was trying to gauge how much the upcoming Haslab Unicron is going to cost to ship up north. Iíll either be buried with my Barge or my kids can have it. LOL

This is a random question, but does anyone know what the cost/duty fees were for Jabba's Sail Barge? P&TY

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: Toy Fair 2019 - 6" Line

Can someone briefly describe to me the differences between "X-Wing Luke" and "Snowspeeder Luke"?  To each their own, but I'm having a hard time envisioning why I would buy this figure since I (probably naively) think of them as a slight variation on each other, and I already own the X-Wing Luke figure.

Different gloves, boots, and jacket off of the top of my head.

1. Ralph McQuarrie/Joe Johnston style Boba Fett
2. Admiral Ozzel
3. Bespin Luke
4. Lobot
5. Cloud Car Pilot
6. Rebel Commander (Cliff Claven)
7. General McQuarrie
8. General Reeikan
9. Wedge Antilles
10. Ugnaught(s)

LEGO / Re: Complete Set Storage?
« on: November 15, 2018, 02:38 PM »
As my kids are growing up they're not interested in keeping all of their Star Wars Legos built and in their rooms.

At this time I'm not interested in displaying these with the rest of my Star Wars collection and just want to put them in storage in the basement, although I guess I might display them at some future time.

Any recommendations on the best way to store these?
- Do I buy mega ziploc bags and store them mostly complete so I can easily reassemble them?  I know this will take up more room.
- Do I break these down in to individual blocks and put them in gallon sized ziplocs for better storage, knowing I would have to fully reassemble these in the future if I cared to display them?

When I moved across the country my UCS Star Destroyer was: dusted, disassembled, parts separated, and pieces were bagged accordingly then put into larger bags. So, dust 'em and bag 'em.

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Solo (SPOILERS)

I hope we get more SOLO films, but I think one key ingredient that is missing is the slight annoyance that Harrison Ford brought out in the role. Little things like that might help the overall feeling of the character. I saw it a third time with my kids and enjoyed it just as much.

I saw it twice and enjoyed it. 2nd viewing was more enjoyable, and I do appreciate all the thought that went into all of the deep cut references. Still a C+ to a B-, but I still like Rogue One a bit more.

This is a great video for anything and everything Easter egg related in SOLO:

What's the deal with tentacled creatures in Star Wars?

Yeah, that and the slew of brand new species. I was thrilled to see a few twileks, and both a rodian and Warwick Davis pull off their masks though. Nerd powers... ACTIVATE!!!

And THAT scene I'm sort of intrigues that their exploring that crime cartel storyline now that Rebels told us where it will end.

Also, was this Arrestor Cruiser in the film? I felt like the Star Destroyer in the maw was where this ship should have been, but they might have scrapped it in favor of a more recognizable Destroyer.

Yeah, it's in the Imperial propaganda hologram on Corellia.
