Estate sale finds. ROTJ TIE Fighter missing one wing label $18. AST-5 with a C-3PO (rem limbs) inside for $8.

Some guy beat me to the Y-wing with box and loose B-Wing.  :(

Passed up a Snowspeeder for $28 and 1SP-6 for $12.  They also had a POTF2 x-wing in opened box marked $45.

Where do I post this? Here?

Marvel's Inhumans was pretty decent.

I was hoping for a Hawaii Five-O crossover, though.

That's sad to hear.  :( I recall a post on JTA where he said he'd been sick...guess he still was.

I hated the articles. They used nudity to trying push politics on "readers" who only came to lust after airbrushed women that met Hefner's criteria for his "girl next door (that almost no one ever lived next door to)" look.  ;)

I like the Playboy bunny uniform. I don't know if that uniform was specifically his idea, but it's the number one contribution to the world he made. If you've never seen it, you can find on youtube, Carrie Fisher as a playboy bunny in a Laverne and Shirley episode.

I like Hasbro's code names better than the actual character names, except Rey doesn't look like Tracey Gold to me. Or is that the Praetorian?  :P

Darth Vader carrying case...missing the upper things that hold figures and the had the original cardboard insert with picture of the figures. And it had gotten damp a bit  (tragically, from a brief early morning shower as the people had set up their sale) but seems to have dried out okay.

Inside was chewie's bowcaster. (and non vintage stuff).

Some people complained about that scene.

It was the least thing wrong with INTO DARKNESS.

They had a record people sign up for CBS All Access. Record as compared who signed up before the first episode aired. Wow.

It's on a service because CBS's demographic wouldn't watch it. I guess?

Star Trek Discovery's first episode was not especially good.  It wasn't terrible, but I'm not paying to watch the rest of the series. (spoilers)

Doug Jones's character.

The effects seemed decent enough.

Klingons...if you want to call them that. Why not just make them CGI crabs and be done with it.

Sonequa Martin Green's character seems to be making dumber choices than her Walking Dead character.
Michelle Yeoh calls her first officer NUMBER ONE. It felt forced.

Starting with a brink of war footing on what amounts to a new Trek timeline (?) lacks weight. Everything is unfamiliar looking, it doesn't seem like I should care. It would be like if they started ENTERPRISE with its season 3.

The scenes from upcoming episodes should really make fans wonder if CBS didn't just shut-down the Axanar fan project just to rip it off. It makes me wonder, and I'm not even that familiar with that fan film besides having watched the prelude.

They filmed with lens flare fun. I personally found the show's style hard to watch at times, but I guess it has style?
Why would Sarek raise an orphaned human girl?
Why does she seem to have stolen Worf's backstory? (Replace orphaned by Romluans with Klingons, raised by humans with Vulcans.)

The ROTJ one from 2015.   :P

No sign they ever got in the new wave. But, hey, if I wanted to pay $12 for a FO stormtrooper...but you can get them for $6 loose from

I went to a Mom2Mom sale (audience laughs) a nearby rec center because they mentioned Star Wars toys. I paid a buck entry fee and yeah, found some stuff.

First Order TIE missing pilot and missiles for $5 and a FO snowspeeder (missing the launcher's stand base) with the snowtrooper  (no gun or pauldron) for $3.

And some $1 loose figures that aren't FA, so they cannot be mentioned here.  :P

Some people are like good riddance, but really...this is it, the last major non-specialty toy retailer in North America.

But the flip side, some people will be forced to grow up and no longer be Toys R Us kids.   :P

Joe Defender / Re: Vintage 3.75" ARAH Figures

Prices aren't that high for most vintage loose figures (there's some big exceptions). This is in part because many GI JOE collectors have moved on to modern style, some even selling off their vintage collections. It's similar to how Star Wars collecting became in some aspects.

Which Slaughter? There were 4 in the vintage line.
Triple T Driver, the cartoon look more or less.
Mail-In (the wrestling look...though not as pudgy as the real Sarge. Was offered for years via pack-in forms, but some price guides will act like he was a 1985-1986 only)
Warthog driver (a more tactical look, with removable hat)
Slaughter's Marauders (the only vintage single carded version of him released domestically. A repaint of the wrestling version. Made of more brittle plastic because it was made in Brazil and not China like most figures.)

And there was a large non-poseable wresting figure that was a mail-away only, made in the style of LJN's big rubber figures.

Noooooo!  :'(

Got a TIE STRIKER at Meijer for $12. Last one. Is it worth it? Dare I open it? Just leave it in the box and hope it will be worth its original retail in a few years?  :P

The Jedha Revolt sets are under $8. Jyn eadu and Imperial Comptroller er...uh....whatever are $2.30 something.
