Joe Defender / Re: ARAH Vehicles/Playsets

I used to have a lot of them.

APC was good, but lacked a tow hook. That was when there was towed weapons in the line.

In regards to getting vintage vehicles, these things weren't meant to last, so certain problems to look out for.

Original HISS tanks will usually have loose guns. The tabs that click the elevating cannons into place are ridiculously thin and the plastic gets brittle. You might be better off getting a later 2000's release of that vehicle (I don't think they ever really fixed that issue, though).

The red parts on the COBRA STUN get brittle with age. This is one the worst vehicles in that regard. If you get one with the engine covers snapped on, do not remove them!

Finding a Wolverine with an unbroken tow cable can be hard.

THE WHALE's fan assembly pieces are fragile, too.

What is a small collection? ARAH is a huge line to collect with a lot of large items and scarce items.  It's easy to see why people focus on certain areas.

But, yeah, there's always been an early years focus by snobs certain fans. Those were the best years overall, I think, but the whole run has its merits. The early days online there was quite the Marvel comic book centric attitude, too, to the point of being jerky about it.

There's also fans who are really just COBRA fans. The original Black Major guy who produced the factory level customs seemed to be one, a huge army builder, which one reason he had all those "bootlegs" made. (If you don't know know what I refer to, see Ebay search RED LASER and BLACK MAJOR'll find various figures that Hasbro never made.)

One of the biggest MIB ARAH collectors was a woman in Texas who has sold her stuff off for financial reasons. She had gobs of foreign items.

Reminds of the ebay bootleg lots from China.

Country boys can't survive.  :(

Troy Gentry

Don Williams

And RIP Sci-fi author Jerry Pournelle, who was also a country music legend...okay, maybe not.

Picked up Yarell Poof and Hammerhead for $3 each at a garage sale...MOC. (And R1-G4 from 2002?)

They had Han with carbonite, too...maybe someone else...Poggle! Why didn't I buy them? Foolish...also, going too long without eating affects my judgement.

I went back the next day got Poggle, Han was gone, baby, gone.

Also got Mas Amedda (POTJ), K-3PO (POTJ) and Pit Droids (30th annivesary/legends) that Celebration Amidala (OTC/post transitional whatever)

Hopefully the package folds up in the cardboard tank, too. Two tanks for one!  :P

HasCon case reveals Chirrut and Baze two-pack. With new awesome orange gatling gun accessory! They might have improved Baze's paint ops, too. Probably force link, too.

So are there any interesting alien characters in this movie?

"Yes, but those don't sell well."

Now a Rose 2 pack to peg warm!

Or not, people will get it for the droids.

Female officer body has appeal, since the only other option is the Juno Eclipse body.

Space crack-head Snoke!

It's a shame they took "We want echo base rebel trooper back" as "we want the Hoth Rebel Trooper back". But that's a worthy figure, too.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode IX
« on: September 6, 2017, 02:46 PM »
Episode 8 will bomb so hard that there won't be a episode IX. Landfills will surge with unsold Porg merchandise. The Han Solo movie will go straight to Netflix. Disney will scramble for anyone to buy the franchise...and a reborn CANNON Pictures will acquire the rights.   :o
