I picked up 4 of 5 GI Joe 12" Adventure Team figures at the Elk River, MN Wal-Mart last Friday.  The ones I bought are really well done and look very cool.

Haven't seen any 25th at Wal-Mart.  Haven't seen any new shipments at Targets either.

Mike, hopefully you can get your new figures to work in the vehicles.

Unfortunately, the hip articulation makes it hard for the 25th Ann. figures to sit and fit correctly in the 1982-2006 3 3/4" vehicles.  Also, the foot holes on the new 25th figures are different than the 1982-2006 figures so the pegs on the vehicles aren't correct.

I found a Storm Shadow V2, Snake Eyes V2 and Cobra Officer at the Anoka K-Mart on Tuesday.  They were on the top shelf behind some of the new 8" GI Joe figures.  Luckily, these three all had tweaked packaging and were not sold yet.

I opened them up and I like the figures on display standing up and holding their weapons.  Luckily these few hold weapons quite well but I've hear most of the time this is not the case.

Unfortunately, the elbows don't bend 90 degrees except for one of Storm Shadows elbows.  The Cobra Officer cannot hold his rifle with both hands which severly limits army building these or displaying them in a fighting position.  Also, the legs don't bend at the hip at 90 degrees directly forward and therefore they have the spread eagle look and don't sit properly in the many Cobra vehicles.

All of the ones I bought have near perfect paint jobs and no ugly seams between parts.

Snake Eyes is a darker gray then I thought it would be in person but I still wish it was a deep black.

The Cobra sigil on the Officer chest is way too small.

I checked the Blaine, MN K-Mart last night but they didn't have them or a spot for them.  Hopefully, I find them soon because I want to see these in person before I fully commit to this new new style.

I am thinking about getting in on the 25th Anniversary figures this summer, and starting by purchasing some older items. I am thinking about Night Ops Humvee, Scrap Iron, 5 Range Vipers, and Barrel Roll, all for $23 shipped from Can anyone offer their opinions on these figures, or suggest some other items on that are worth purchasing? Thanks!

I would recommend for some good reviews of the figures released over the past 5 years or more.

Keep an eye on ebay because somethings you can find an original 1984 Prime for about $100 and in great condition.  I picked up a pre-rub 1984 Prime back in January for about $100 and it was near perfect.  Caution, because once I bought Prime then I
went on a 1984-1987 buying spree.

Now I may be starting up again because since buying the Bellomo book I had to go out and find a nice Predaking set.  Next up I need to get Trypticon.

Then I start looking at all the 1988 toys and see some cool one's too like Dreadwing.  I managed to pick up a Darkwing in January but I still need the Dreadwind.

If anyone wants to get hooked buy Bellomo's Transformers book and his GI Joe book too if you want hooked.

Today, I finally received my Masterpiece Megatron shipping confirmation from  I saved a lot by ordering both sets from them.  However, it sure took a while for them to get the toys in the mail.  They ordered a lot of them and then had them shipped by boat.  Hopefully, they will be here by this Saturday.

I haven't seen any of the yet to be released TF Movie toys since Target the other day.

I stopped at the Champlin, MN Target today and saw the new deluxe movie Transformers.  All of them were very tempting but I'll wait for a good sale someday.  Here's a picture I snapped.

I picked up the new Transformers Generation 1 Guide by Mark Bellomo today.  Very cool book with a lot of great info.  It's set up the same way as his GI Joe Guide.
