Monthly Customizing Challenge - Previous Months

My first custom post here, and it's a submission for July's Sith. Yoda said 'always two there are' I really havn't decided which should be the master and which should be the apprentice.



The evil-quay was made using the upper body of POTJ Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Training Gear), the lower body of the Darth Maul (Sith Lord) figure, the head of a weequay, and the braid from some Leia figure. Also his lightsaber was made from a weequay vibro-ax and some colored styrene rod I found at a local hobby shop. I should paint that lightsaber hilt though...


For the Sith-Twi'lek I used the upper body of theClone Wars Asajj Ventress, the lower body of a Saga Padme Amidala (Droid Factory Chase), and the head of Lyn Me, the Jabba dancer. I had to dremel out the neck to fit it on the ball jointed Ventress neck.

Wow, great stuff don!  Usually we wait until the end of the month before submitting, but that's ok, this is a good start and will give the rest of us something to inspire us. 

Weequay - This is far and away probably the coolest Weequay species-type alien I've seen anyone make.  Such a great selection of parts and it all blends together perfectly.  He looks like one mean Sith Lord...

Twi'lek - The Ventress and Padme bodies link up great!  And very good job blending the paint to make it look like one jumpsuit.  She looks pretty evil, but I'd have to give the nod to the Weequay as being the Master.  He looks very tough.

Yes, I do like her... she would also qualify for the Star Wars "Hottie" we made last month.  I really like the red paint scheme (and guys, there is a second pic of her on there with her helmet off so check it out).

Thanks for the kind words Chewie, I really like the site and I am starting to figure out how to make a little better custom's than what I was doing so the encouragement helps.

Don - That Weequay Sith is very cool.  I like the Leia braid.  The Twi-Lek Sith turned out great as well.  She looks overconfident, which is awesome.     Like CHEWIE, I'd give the Weequay the title Sith Lord and the Twi-Lek Sith Apprentice.

TijuanaJedi - Great use of an otherwise useless body.  It actually looks perfect!  Cool idea too

Gosh, people are already submitting sith lords. I should probably get busy. That is why I'm trying to get my group project figures together early in the month so I can get that sith lord together.

I've got a zabral spacer/smuggler that I'll post later. I still have to sand down the neckpost on the body, though.

My sith lord is almost done. He just needs painting. I'm planning on making a second since there are always two.

I was thinking that for the next challenge we could make customs of ourselves. FFURG did this about five years ago and I think we need to update it.

I say we stick with the Sith Lord idea for July, then make August or September that one.

While it is a bit silly, I do like the hood thing you made for him.  And the cloak might be a good start to make a Rep Teers Gungan Official someday...
