Nice job Phruby!  I think it's the stringy hair that does it for me with that Sith Witch.  Very cool 
Is there a technique to adding hair like that or do you just glue it on?

Just glued on stranes of thread one by one tell the top of the head was covered.

Ok, here is my submission for this month.... Darth Tirus.



I found a Utupua Guard today, and thought what the heck - I'll find more soon.  Let's turn this guy into a Sith Lord.

Parts used -

- ROTS Utupua Guard body, arms, legs, feet
- ROTS Clone Pilot gloves
- AoD Deadite head
- ROTS Emperor Palpatine hood

First, I removed the regular head.  It just popped right off.  So did his hands.  I wanted some sort of gloves, and decided on the ROTS Clone Pilot gloves.  They fit right on easily.  Then, I spray painted the figure black twice.  Then got some white, yellow and tan acrylics and went to town dry brushing it.  Added on the head, dry brushed it some, and added the eyes with painting with a toothpick.

Rykrof Enloe might have an encounter with him someday.

Great job chewie! he looks like he was in suspended animation for since the great jedi sith war, but something went wrong and he was kept alive but is skin and muscle decayed and then Count Dooku or someone revived him and then he went off the fight in the clone wars.

Like I said in your thread, this is one of the best custom figures that I have ever seen!  This isn't my rampant hyperbole talking either, I'm serious!  I think my Sith Jawa would not fare too well against this guy

Thanks guys.  And Crazy about Clones, this guy will be in the Rykrof Enloe series for sure.  Might be a little ways down the road, but he'll definitely make an appearance.  Might end up being a semi important villian.

So I am a little late.....this is last months submission. This fig has actually been pieced together for about a year now, I just recently painted it.

This is my submission for this month. This fig has pretty much the same history as the smuggler fig. It has been together for about a year, I just painted it yesterday.

Coeli, the pics are a bit blurry, but I can still see some good detail here.

Can you tell us more about how you made the Sith Lord?  Is that a female Tusken face?  It looks very evil and really reminds me of some KOTOR Sith.

I actually like your Smuggler even better for some reason.  He just has a great OT feel to him.  I could see him in the Cantina.  I'd really like a recipe on him.  And I hope your AT-TE doesn't crush him because he's cool.

There's a possibility that we might be able to get this on the front page of another fan site (not RS)... what are your thoughts on this guys?  I think it would be a lot of fun and might get more people to join here, and see some really cool customs!

Eeeeh, see, if we do that, well get less quality posts of "how to's" and more of "Thats kewl!" type posts. I like the idea of inviting respected members of the customizing community here, like we have been. It seems to be working well, and word of mouth is an awsome way to go.

I've debated on moving group projects here. The rs group project shows up on the front page of FFURG. I don't mind seeing these on the front page also. I don't think it will bring alot of post inflaters here. It might however bring "Thomas Kinkade" snooping around to steal ideas to sell on ebay.
