Here's the 305th Intelligence Trooper I was talking about in the above post. He's not completly done, but almost. The pics don't really do it justice.

That is one green 305th Intelligence Trooper. I like the detailing of the jedi outfit he is wearing. I'd paint the visor a different color. It kind fo blends in with the rest of the helmet too much. What makes him an intelligence trooper? It seems like he needs some equipment. How does making him entirely green help in intelligence gathering?

Yeah, the pics don't really show it well, I'll paint in black. I can't really think of anything to put on him, he serves under Corporal Harland in Intelligence Division. Any suggestions? Oh, here's some more preview pics for 305th #3, which the named is changed to TALES OF the 305TH- TWO BETRAYALS.


I will defenitely have this up by Black Friday, maybe Saturday.

Well, since I killed off the Jedi in #2, I still wanted to use his head, I like what I'd done with it. So, I made another AREG trooper high up the the organization. His name is Vas Putame. Of Cerean descent, he was faithful to the Republic until they disbanded him from the Navy on grounds that he was 'not fit for fighting standards'. He joined the AREG and is now Field Master, one below the leader.

nirvana great concepts i especialy liket teh cone head ( i can never remeber the naem)
but what kind of paitns u using just wondering the look really shiny almost like they never dried or it could just be the camera

1 thing thow do u use testors dull coat to seal em off
if not invest in some its a great thing to have when ur done with ur custom it makes it not so shiny and gives it a protective seal but anyway keep up the goood work man

Well, I've made one all-new custom and 2 updates to old ones just in time for Thanksgiving. By the way, Happy Thanksgiving! Anyway, I made a new Sith Lord, don't really know his name yet, perhaps someone could make a name? He'll be in the next novel, I don't know how yet. Here are the pics:



I changed Field Master Putame to look less like a Ki-Adi head. I painted his beard and hair gray and dirtied up his uniform a bit.


On account of Lister's change of allegiance, I painted more of his armor a flat black to look a little bit less clone-ish and more evil.

one quick ? r u using enamel or acrylic acrylic is best. enamels dont drie on all surfaces its just some of ur cutoms dont look dry it might just be the flash but u said u wer looking for dullcoat its by testors and u can get it hobby town or any model shop

Thanks. I use Testors model paint, and sometimes it dries fine, and sometimes it stays sticky. The three that I just put up I used Testors and a black Sharpie because I ran out of paint as I was doing it. They're okay, but you're right, my Intelligence Trooper is sticky. I'm going out on Black Friday, I'm going to get Dullcote and more paint. Thanks for your comments.

yeah the tacky ness is because enamel never ever completly dries in most cases on pvvc wich the figs r made of may i sugest tamiya  paints they go on nice and leave no brush marks and always dry

Mate great looking figures yet again the sith lord looks kick arse and I especially like how you've used the cloth for the trooper very well done indeed.

Hey, sp1635-
   I picked up some of those Tamiya Paints you mentioned and a couple new troops to experiment with and thanks, they're great. They work twice as well as enamel. Here are the results-

305th Legion grunt- (I might have weathered them a tad bit much)




305th Legion soldier- (he replaces Lister as the squad's sniper)


Since Rayders and Harland were killed last chapter, here's the next in the chain of command- Lieutenant Mathers:


I gave Obi-Wan some weathering to make him look more realistic-



I took the Sith Lord's face and made it look a little more evil looking-

Here's another 305th trooper:
 

I used Commander Rayders and repainted him and cut his skirt away. The gun is made out of the barrel and handle from a DC-17 and the stock and barrel of a HALO mini battle rifle. LMK what you think, and all comments are appreciated. Thanks for looking.
