Black Sun Informant - This is a fan-fic Quarren merchant who is an informant for Black Sun and was made for the current Yakfinities. I didn't do much painting on this one because I really liked the look of the striped robe.

Tylin Gere - Another version of this photonovel character.  Admiral Tylin Gere was once the best friend of Rykrof Enloe, but they have had a falling out since the Clone Wars began.  Admiral Gere is feared by the Separatists and admired by his troops as he often leads his clones into battle himself.  This custom actually has already been ditched but I figured I'd show it since it has the brown stains removed using Goof-Off.

Attia - Another fan fic character for photonovel stuff.  Attia became disillusioned with the Jedi Order after the Battle of Geonosis, and later in the war her master was killed.  She slowly became seduced by the Dark Side of the Force, and was believed to have been killed by untrusting Separatists in the Bogden System when she attempted to become a student of Count Dooku.  She appeared at the end of Chapter 28 in my series.  Yay.

Diorama Background Structures/Junk - To try and add some more "realism" for dioramas and photonovel background pieces, I've been looking at taking different pieces of Star Wars toys and repainting them.  The first two pics are pieces from the "Ultimate Lightsaber" kit in the Legacy line that is currently out - I used various pieces from it and repainted them.  I could see them on top of buildings or something, maybe exhaust pipes and whatnot.  Some people apparently think these are lame, but I like them for filling out background scenes in photonovels.

The bottom two pics are just repainted pieces from a few "junk vehicles" that I had saved for this sort of thing. 

The clone is just there for a sense of scale.












Civilian Speeder - This is actually a repaint/rework of an old commission I got from Owen D. several years ago.  I lent it out for the Ultimate Group Project but it got damaged in shipping, so it's been in a box for a while until I figured out what to do with it. 

So, rather than turn it into pure "junk" for a background piece, I figured it was still salvageable and I repainted it, removed the broken windshield, added a couple greeblies and added in a fabric backing to the back seating area.






Quinlan Vos - For a fellow forum member, Famine.  I've been telling him for ages that I'd make him a Vos custom, and finally got off my tail and did it.  Mainly I gave him much needed knee/ankle articulation and a rough beard, with a new nicks and cuts.  I hope he is ok with how it turned out.

OK, now I want a Billy Mays custom.

Looking good as always Justin. 

I really like that new Snodd. The Darth Revan Torso is a perfect fit. I've been trying to get an extra one of those for quite some time now but I haven't had any luck finding one at a reasonable price.

Braatos Human - Even in a galaxy full of aliens I've always really liked background humans. This is a nice and simple custom but I'm really digging it as background dio filler.

Braatos Muun - I may have to pick up some Trek figures... I'm liking what you've been doing with them.

Braatos Brainiac - I love the update paint job on the head. The new wash really brings out the wrinkles and the red eyes look great. That scarf is a nice touch too.

Braatos Arcona - The skin color looks godd and the part use is good, but I don't particularly like the way the weathering on the robes turned out on this one. Some of the cracks/crevices seem too black while the surface areas look like they are dull and unweathered.

Quarren Separatists - Very nice. The sandals look good on him. The color choice is great.

NC-43 - I LOVE him. Great use of the firespeeder backpack as a head. I always like droids that use random greeblies as heads and they actually look like a functioning droid. 

Rans Nobble - Great Jedi. He is very TFU-ish.

Palpy - I like the skin a lot on him. Was that a repaint? I wasn't big one the green robes initially, but they are growing on me the more I look at him.

Teltuu Stabo - Another very cool Jedi. The Luke boots look great on him. I do have one *very* minor nitpick. Duros have longer fingers than humans. Maybe you could swap out the hands for Duros hands? Just chop the gloves off at the base of the hand and paint them to match the gloves. I just tend to be anal about getting the Hands/feet on my aliens to match.

Attia - Very cool. I like how you mostly used Bultar Swan and it looks nothing like her. The new skin tone is great.

Civilian Speeder - I think I like it that way even better. The fabric backing looks great. Sorry about the shipping... 

Badoo Corba Terrorist - I like his body, but maybe you could mess with his head some so he looks less like Plo Koon in smuggler/terrorist gear? That's the only problem I have with him.

Palom - I like the casual look of the body, but kind of like the last figure I think he could use a different head, or at the very least some mods. Wedge is close enough to a main character that it is hard to use his head as anyone but Wedge and pull it off.

Jedi Master Iros - Gotta love the mutton chops. 

Jedi Master Nolan I really like how a lot of your Jedi have such a TFU/Clone Wars look rather than standard Jedi Robes. I can't stop looking at this guy as Billy Mays now...

Commander Rykrof Enloe - Not a bad job by any means on Rykrof... but how many suits of armor does he really need? I think that's more of a complaint about the PT/EU in general though. I can certainly understand variations and some variety along with different environmental specific armor, but I think that it gets out of hand sometimes and they make too many types of armor. Maybe that's just me though.

Andronicis - He's a little older, but I LOVE that figure. I think that the Durge head works perfectly. The paint color looks great. He almost reminds me of a KOTOR era Mandalorian. Good stuff.

Looking forward to the next Chewie update. I've been getting the customizing bug lately...

Wow, thanks for the reviews Ryan.  Much appreciated, I always enjoy any thoughts you have to share.   

On the Rykrof, yeah I've given him quite a few looks over the years.  Haven't used all of them of course, as there haven't been all that many sets of trooper gear that he's showed up in for photonovel stuff.  Here's the ones that have shown up since Phase 2 armor comes into play in the prequels -







The previous chapters before that, he was more in non-military situations.  After escaping from terrorists, he spent a few chapters out of service at home while the war was still waging -



But yeah, there have been a lot of different versions of him.  Going on around 5 years now worth of custom figures of Rykrof.  It's still a lot of fun for me though... and nothing was more cool than seeing what someone else made - an older version of Rykrof as a Rebel leader - I was floored.  DanoftheDead at Yakface made it in the current Yakfinities:





I remember an old Group Project here that was focused on Rykrof, which was a huge honor for me.  But seeing one made out of the blue, especially so well done really has me itching to look further down the road to maybe keep the series going a little longer than I had planned.

Justin Cook - Something I don't usually do, but heck, why not a self custom...  these were always fun in the old Casting Calls at http://www.ffurg.com and when I saw that a receont one was being extended, I had to join in the fun... this is just my take on myself if I was in the Star Wars universe... always carry a good blaster at your side!  I actually ended up liking this a lot for a look for Freelo in my PN series maybe, so at some point I could get use out of this for the PN series as well for him... could probably just do a head and hand swap and it would work ok for that too?

Taantar - This is a rework of an older custom, really a complete new recipe. Taantar is the leader of the Taantar Raiders, an elite force made up of mercs, assassins and bounty hunters.  The group is said to have ties to the Badoo Corba as well, and Taantar has a secret knowledge of an ancient technology that could bring the galaxy to its knees.

Feral CZ Droid - For the current Yakfinities, FERAL DROIDS.  This CZ droid model is old but an effective killer. At one time he was a respected secretary for Ithorian diplomats on Coruscant. He once made a protocol error and referred to the Emperor as "Senator Palpatine" and was promptly discarded on the far side of the planet for this breach of etiquette. He later awoke with no memory of his past, and only had a desire to kill sentient beings, thus found himself aligned with a growing army of feral droids on Coruscant.

Feral Gonk Droid - For the current Yakfinities, FERAL DROIDS.  This little guy has a grenade launcher mounted on his side. He has no memory of his past but enjoys sneaking up on unsuspecting beings salvaging for parts and blowing them to bits and pieces.

Arctic Commandos - Not much to these, which is just the way I like it!  But I actually really like how they turned out...  these were for a past customizing challenge going on at http://www.echobaseforums.com - I was planning on using these bodies with some Galactic Marine helmets, but ended up with a couple of ARF Troopers, and realized their heads might work out.  It's not a simple head swap though, as I had to create custom neck posts... and no painting was required on these.

Jedi Master Redwind - Here's how Master Redwind appeared in Chapter 31 of the Rykrof Enloe series right after Order 66 was first ordered, when he survived an explosion.  He didn't last long after that once he was tracked down by the clone troopers after him.

Thanks... all those in the recent post are over a year old... but I have at least 50 more customs since then to post, which I'll do before too long... as for the series - I do plan to pick it back up with a new series called The Enloe Trials... I've got part of the script done and proofed by a professional writer who is a friend of mine, and also quite a few customs completed for it.

It's the diorama work, photos, editing, and time that are the enemy now!
