"Everything Is Illuminated" for me. What a fantastic, surprising, beautiful film that was. The DVD is barebones, unfortunately.
"Paradise Now" was a bore IMO, almost pointless, considering how it ended. "Squid and the Whale" was an adult drama a la "Door In the Floor", "Derailed" was predictable as hell, but decent, the rapper/actor trend really hurt it. "Chicken Little"was alright, reminded me of "Valiant", which wasn't very funny, either. "Capote" wasn't really even about "Capote", and wouldn't merit another viewing. "House of the Dead 2" was better than the sequel, and pretty entertaining, but once was enough for me, as was "In the Mix". But fans of Sticky Fingaz may have enjoyed "HOTD 2".
My DirecTV has been out for 2 weeks now, as has DSL, so I've been watching movies non-stop.
28 Days Later - Indie

American History X - Indie
A Bronx Tale - Made for Television
To be fair, 40% of my DVD library is comprised of independent movies. I don't hate mainstream movies, but for anyone to suggest that I hate independent movies and favor wide releases is ludicrous. Of the first 35 movies I own, in order, 18 are indies. Hell, the first movie in my collection, "11:14" is one.
