Group Project 12 - Ysanne Isard and Admiral Daala

Well here we are on our 12th group project for the month of April. This time we got two Imperial female officers to make. Basically these two should be a good team to make since they are so simular. You could practically use the same body with a different head. I'd suggest making Daala in her flight suit to mix things up a little. You can make them in any outfit you want as long as there is a reference picture somewhere on the net for them. Anyway the due date is the end of May. Please try to have them done by then. Also please post lots of work in progress pictures along the way.

Hi everyone,

I went and dug up this version of Admiral Daala. I sculpted this back in 1997, almost 10 years a go. This is going to be so cool to revisit a figure I made back then and do another one with the skills I have now.



I look forward to see what everyone is going to turn out this month. I will post a WIP picture as soon as I have finnished the sculpt.

Either one or both. You just need a reference picture or book passage describing the figure you making.

Well, for what it's worth, here's an Ysanne Isard (I always want to say it with a French accent) that I made in 2004...



I'm not entirely happy with this figure, though.  If I were doing it again, and I might since there's this group project, I'd use a Baroness head (natch) and a different upper body than the Coruscant Pilot Padmé one.  I do like the PLC Bespin Leia legs, though, since she doesn't really wear boots with the red uniform, and I'd likely use those again.  ROTS Luminara torso, slightly altered, maybe?  This qill require further meditation.

Oh man...i would SO love to try this at 12 inch scale...but i don't have the sewing skills or the knowhow to change the hair.



And in any event, Daala in her flightsuit.....(droools, despite what having read the books she's in. What can i say? i'm a sucker for redheads, especially loopy ones )

I kinda got mine started yesterday. Im going to try to get a WIP pic up tomorrow. Im not entirely pleased with the arms but hopefully someone can give me a better idea once they see it.

Pictures are a little blurry but sculpting on the chest looks great.  Can I say that here?
