Group Project 12 - Ysanne Isard and Admiral Daala

thanks for the encouragement guys. She really didnt look like that much to me until I got her painted. She still may get a few final touches but for the most part shes done.



I dont really care for the goofy grin she has but this is probably my final WIP for her. Now Im off to start Daala. She's been on my list for a while as well.

That's brilliant and very evil looking too. I'm planning on using the Baroness for a head with maybe a modified rots Tarkin body.

You guys' work has been so inspiring that I'd thought I'd start putting together an Ysanne Isard figure too, which will hopefully bve an improvement over my old one.  Here's a photo of what I've got so far.  Note that this is of course still in progress, so nothing's been painted yet, nor is the skirt the right length yet.

Now, I hate to brag, but... Note also that I have used 100% female parts in making this custom.  That's right:  100% female parts.  No man stuff. It can be done, people!

that looks incredible findswoman! Not too sure about the softgoods skirt tho...it's like the EVO Dooku, a good concept, but it's hard to match the color of the cloth to the plastic.

Nice progress finds. I really like that baroness head.
Only thing i would change are the arms. they look like "vintage" fodder
compared to the more detailed parts of the rest of the figure.

I really like the way you were able to blend the Joe parts with SW parts.  Very nice.

Thanks for the assist BrentS. Photos and links do not work well with me. I find the Bombstrike body to be one of the better Torsos when it come to working with females. I need to make a mold before I use up my last two.

The problem with the bombstrike torso is that it doesn't match the hips. Their torsos come to a rather sharp point where there is a big disconnect between the hips and stomach. That area needs to be filled in with some sculpty or reduce the torso so things line up.

Here is my entry for Ysanne Isard.  I thok the guantlet that findswoman through down and used only female parts.  This isn't my best custom but it I put it together with parts I was able to gather pretty easily (thanks to findswomen for the Baroness head). 

First the WIP photo showing the unpainted body parts:



As you can guess, the recipe:
Head - GI Joe Baroness Imperial Procession
Torso and Legs - EP1 Padme (Naboo)
Lets - Padme (Droid Factory)
Skirt - Modified EPI1 Padme (Tatooine)

Not sure if I'm really happy with the way the parts combination turned out.  I'm not terribly familar with many EU characters so I just sort of went off the parts I had and couple of reference photos.


Here is the nearly finished painted version:



I say nearly painted version because the blown up details in the image really show the flaws (poor lines on the hair), cleaning up skirt, and matching skin tones between hands and face.

I'll have to finish her up later.

Okay, showing off my disability again, help me out.  What color should her uniform be?  I took a stab at a standard Imperial gray (at least I thought  )

Its Red. Or a version of red. Maybe a dark red, like Maroon?  Check the pics on page one and go from there.
