That is nice.  I think a couple of others could benefit as well.

Any ideas on how to do it with fiber optic light threads?

Maul would look great similarly bottom lit.  I think a careful drill applied to Palpatine's  (Sidious) base could work too.  Having rays (threads of light) going up would look awfully cool.  Jedi Luke would need the fiber optics for sure and run through, or behind the swoosh of the light saber.

Hmmm.

I never thought about running lights through any of the Unleashed figures, but that is an incredibly awesome idea.  Are there simple fiber optic lighting kits you can purchase to make that happen?

Excellent idea. You maybe able to find fiber optic kits at a plastic model or a hobby & craft store. I have some fiber lights that came with plastic models kits & the kit has a battery casing (AAA or 9 volt) & a on/off switch.
The fibers are small & a special drill came with it. The thinkness of the drill is about the diameter of a sewing needle & very fragile.

It would be cool to se this done.  8)

Gotta wonder what might be on tap for this line in 2004.  They've done some great work thus far, and a lot with the core characters.  Where else can they go now?

Maybe they will go into more of a 2-pack or 3-pack set of Unleashed figures.  I would love to see a Clone Trooper 3-pack of Unleashed figures, or even a 3-pack of Battle Droids with one of them being OOM-9.  That would be sweet.  Hasbro could actually go into more detail with the background.

Whatever the case is, every Unleashed figure keeps getting better and better.   ;D

What's left?

Episode I:
Qui-Gon
Battle Droid (weak, to me anyway) - STAP
Destroyer Droid (better)

Episode II:
not much, they hit all of them really.  Unleashed Clegg ;D

OT:
Old Ben, hood up, not much different from young Ben already done
Chewbacca - presumably in progress
Droids? - R2 & 3PO?  Gotta be a way to do that.  Could certainly do a flying version of R2, though that may be considered Episode II-ish
Tusken Raider
Stormtrooper - getting blown backwards from Han's blaster
Sandtrooper
Snowtrooper - running on Hoth and firing blaster
Scout trooper - on speeder bike - heck, do a three pack as suggested above or three interlocking individual pieces with Endor Luke and Leia plus the scout
Tie Pilot - if they can do something with Luke X-wing, maybe they can pull this off
Tarkin - I'd love to see this.  If they can do the bust and make it cool, they could do this too.
Luke - X-wing already rumoured; Bespin would be mighty cool with a removable hand; Jedi Luke on the sail barge/skiff; Hoth Luke with Wampa as a two pack
Other Jedi: Plo Kloon or Eeth Koth I think would work; I'd suggest Coleman Trebor but that might be a little laughable
Bounty Hunters: lots of those (well 5 anyway) but artistic interpretation could work out for them.  I'd like to see 4-LOM and Zuckuss

Lots I don't think would work either:
Jabba - not really much of a fit --> drooling harder than usual?
Jawa - cool concept, but a bit of a stretch to me
Ewoks - oh puhlease, stoopid little fuzzballs, maybe they could make them out of real fur so you can hug them too ::)

Nah, I don't think about this line much.

How about an Imperial Probe Droid or Interrogation Droid?

The interrogation droid would be cool with an A New Hope Leia.

That would indeed be a cool piece.  Non-sleazy Leia and a droid too.  Excellent.

I didn't know if anyone noticed for sure, but Kebco now has Yoda/Han/Boba in stock fro $19.99 a piece I believe.  Also, supposedly anyone who preordered these through them (like me), they will start shipping out today (9/16).  If you didn't preorder, might be a good chance to pick these up.  I have a feeling these would sell fast if they made it to stores.  Anyways, just thought I'd post in case anyone hadn't seen it yet.
