Rykrof Enloe Imperial Era
« on: June 5, 2006, 09:40 PM »
Hey guys,
I believe that there was group project a while back to make your own versions of Chewie's photonovel character, Rykrof Enloe.  So here's my version from that that project, though made much later.

I was inspired by Chewie's own version of Rykrof in Hoth gear, utilizing Major Derlin's body - and thought what if Enloe had stayed with the newly founded Empire, perhaps tired of fighting the corruptedness, and wanted to keep his family safe?  Or perhaps he's a covert double-agent assisting the fledgling rebellion?!

Anyways, here's my version, complete with removable hat, and trademark "Imp" sideburns.

Now thats just my style!  What a great figure.  I love the mixing of parts and the sideburns tie it into the OT very well.  THe imperial rank and the Kepi are just awesome.  Omce again the ROTS Tarkin figure yields another cool custom.   Just a great effort and the end product is very cool!  Awesome!
NOTE TO HASBRO,
SA JANGO would sell quite well!

Oh man, I love it!  The sculpted sideburns is fantastic!  ;D

The use of the Djas Puhr torso with the RotS Tarkin legs is well done and something that I never would have thought of.  Excellent job!
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Wow!!!!!!   GOD DAMNED BEAUTIFUL!!!

I love it.  It's my favorite Rykrof!  (don't tell Chewie!  hee hee!)

that is a gorgeous and unbelievably imaginative figure.  I'm so going to try to copy that style and use my spare Djas Puhr body to make a bad-ass imp.

How did you make the rank badge, by the way?  I'd PAY you if you could mass produce a few of those babies for me.  Seriously, let me know.

OOoooo! Like the Djas body for an Imp outfit! - not what I'd normally think of as an Imp. uniform, but very reminiscent of a McQuarrie concept. Especially with the sideburns! ;)

Awesome! ;D

Wow, awesome version of this character!  I love it.  The parts mesh together very, very well!

It's one of my favorites I've seen made... my personal favorite is still this one:

...but your mixture of parts here and the sideburns are awesome.  I never thought a Djas Phuhr body could work for an Imperial custom, but you did it!

What a great Rykrof!  The sideburns just take the cake.  No that is a good example of paying attention to detail!  Well done.

Thanks for the comments.

Chewie - I like that particular version of yours very much.  Looks in character to Enloe, and with the poncho/cape/hood, even brings an OT look to it.  Definately one of my favs.   Thanks for taking the endor soldier and making a story and character we can all appreciate.

Quazar - the imperial rank badging is simply the mouthpiece cut off from the SP-4 jedi library droid from the 1st Saga collection.

Also, although you have all pretty much identified the parts, here's the recipe:

Saga 1 - Dja Puhr - torso and arms, skirt/holster
Saga 1 - Endor Rykrof head
Saga 2 - Veers hat dremeled out
Saga 2 - AT-AT pilot gloves
ROTS - Tarkin Legs
Saga 1 - Jedi Info droids mouth piece for Imperial Rank badg

Now that is creative!  It would be so easy to make molds of that piece!

Well.......It's not as good as mine. ( J/K) :P ;D

I like it. These parts really fit well together. And it looks like something that would fit into the Republic/Empire transition. I love the fact that hes going a little grey. War does that to a man. ;D The pimpin sideburns are just great, I love that.

Excellent job on this one. Hey Ryan, howsabout adding this one to the archive.

Wow, the badge is just a great idea, totally genius!

I might look into getting these on the front page at Yakface, if you guys don't mind.

Yeah, I think that the mouthpiece worked really nice for that badge.   Perhaps someone who is used to casting could make some at some point in the future (though you'd be limited to an eight mark badge).

Chewie - that would be great to post of Yakface. I know my pics don't really do it justice, but it really worked out well for an Imp badge.

Especially since I've been cannibilizing those droids for all kinds of parts:
The arms and  torso dremeled out for armor,
Droid's head for jetpack,
and upper torso for a female clone trooper that hasn't worked out completely yet.

And I'll prolly find alot more uses from them. ;D
