7.

Adding one extra bench spot for IR is all I think is necessary.  Again, just my opinion.

I'm going to up it to 7 - if there is substantial opposition to this I'll change it back.

8 days to go!

Has everyone tested their systems and double checked that the point system is all kosher?

Just so I'm clear, once I've scheduled the live-draft, that's all I have to do to get the league started on time right?  Yahoo should automatically enter the teams once we're done yes?

Also, now would be a good time to place your bets on what spot I'll be drafting at.

I'm giving 100 to 1 odds on the top 3.   :-\

You'll be drafting number 9.  Count on it.

Scoring seems fine to me, I've looked it over and as long as it stays as it is, I'll draft appropriately.

I don't think you can test the system until an hour or so before the draft, but I've not had problems previously.

Live draft means you just show and go.  Teams are entered automatically and immediately following the end of the draft.

Cool.

FYI, you can test your system right now.  On the "league" page under "League Notes" is a thing that in parenthesis says (test your system).

Oh.  Ok, my bad.  I'll do it before we draft, but can't imagine there'll be a problem as there hasn't been in the past.

If I remember correctly Rob isn't allowed to draft in the first half of round 1.  Just make sure the settings reflect this time-honored tradition.

Yep.  In 2 Fantasy Football leagues, 2 Fantasy Basketball leagues, 1 Fantasy Hockey league, and 2 Fantasy Baseball leagues here at JD, and one fantasy football league at another site I use, I've never drafted in the top half of the first round.

It's statistically improbable, and annoying as ****.  I've never had access to a top top tier player ala A-Rod, Pujols, LT, Shaun Alexander, Kobe, etc...  they're always ******* gone by my turn.

Draft is tomorrow, last chance to make any meaningful objections to any of our league settings!

Should we PM people who aren't necessarily checking in here?

You and Brent were in favor of it, I was opposd to it.  We only heard from 1/4th of the league owners...

So I guess I can change it to -1 and call it a 2 to 1 vote in your favor... or we can see if anyone else responds today and I'll hold off until tomorrow to make the change if no one else speaks up.

I'd be for it if the scoring looked something like this:

Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards (-4)
Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards (-3)
Field Goals Missed 30-39 Yards (-2)
Field Goals Missed 40-49 Yards (-1)
Field Goals Missed 50+ Yards (0)

Hey,
I just clicked into yahoo football to check the draft time and it's currently showing it starts in one day, four hours and a couple of minutes.  That's 8:30 central, even though it says 8:30 Pacific.  What gives? :o
