MacGuyver? Are there any other characters beside Pete and Murdoc?

Jack Dalton would be another character. To be honest I'd be happy with a macgyver/bearbrick 2 pack.
I would no doubt have to be sick all over the bearbrick before destroying it and sending it back to hell where it came from.*

* For those of you who missed the subtle hints. The creator of this post doesn't like Bearbricks. :P

I picked up the Terminator Minimates from Toys R Us a few weeks ago.  I love them:

Saw on ebay today that the Watchmen Kubricks are out.  Individual blind-box figures.  I'll be interested to see how BBTS goes about fulfilling their orders for the 3-packs...

I was wondering about that myself.  Might they possibly release both blind-boxed and 3 packed releases of the same figures (minus chases)?  Has there been any precedent for this with Kubricks?

Yeah I thought that was strange too. I've ordered the two 3 packs from play.com in the UK but then when I saw the blind boxes on ebay!

What could the chases be I wonder?

One of the chases is Dr. Manhattan in a suit.  Don't know of any others yet.

This is most likely the common chase. I wonder if the others will be variants or other watchmen characters from the golden age.

They said in the pre-order...  "One in four sets will have a variant Doctor Manhattan in suit - sorry, no choice. "

Interesting! So does that mean the 3 packs are just 3 blind boxes sold together? or is it just the way BBTS are selling them?

I was looking at it more from the standpoint of being individual blind box figures vs. a three figure box set.  I was under the impression that they would be sending these figures in a window box with the three figures inside, not three individually blind-boxed figures.

Anyway, I just hope that they start filling orders soon.  These are really good looking figures.

I think they assumed the Kubricks would be in 3-packs like the be@rbrick sets are/were.  This whole thing was wierd - some places (like Blister.jp) were selling boxes of 24, while others (like BBTS) sold 3-packs.

The more I think about it, the more pre-order doesn't really make sense... $17.99 for a three pack, when the retail price in Japan is around $9 each?   ???

I guess we wait and see what happens...

My guy in Hong Kong said the chase Dr. Manhattan was 1:96.  These are out in Hong Kong now (he said they got an early release), but not yet in Japan.  He only knows about the individual blind boxes, but if there are indeed 3-packs for US distribution (like the Halo 4-packs), I doubt he'd know about that.

I'm tempted to get these now from overseas, but I'd be kicking myself if the much cheaper 3-packs, and 1:4 Dr. Manhattan chases, started appearing stateside.

Looks like the Watchmen ratios are:

20:96 THE COMEDIAN
20:96 RORSCHACH
16:96 OZYMANDIAS
15:96 DOCTOR MANHATTAN
12:96 NITE OWL II
12:96 SILK SPECRE II
01:96 Suited DOCTOR MANHATTAN (CHASE)

Still no word if there are special 3-packs for the USA or what...

All those crazy high ratios make the 1:96 look odd lol.

I picked up a basic set of six from ebay the other day for around £30/$49 shipped. I still have my pre-order up on play.com in the uk. If the 3 packs turn out to be legit and not a screw up I wouldn't mind having them display boxed too.

Not sure how I feel about that suited Manhattan, it's cool but more along the lines of the blue snag in terms of desirability for me. So no other 1:96 or 1:48 chases then? I would kill for a Hooded Justice  ;D

There are pics over at Kubrick Nation from SDCC that show Watchmen Kubricks on Display at a booth with a not in front of them for 3 pack A and 3 pack B suggested price of $24.99. So looks like the 3 packs will happen.
