Not sure if he has. I checked and didn't find him on a checklist so I guess not. I could be wrong. But yes, Needa must be done. Give him 2 heads: a regular head and a blood vein popping out of his temple choking one. 

But yes, we need more DS figures (and the DS conference set will be nice). I think even though he's a brief and vague character in the movie, I'd love the officer on the Executor on ESB who says, "Bounty Hunters. We don't need the scum".  I'm sure he has a name.

Anyway, this thread is morphing into the Imperial theme...    so I'll reserve my list for then. Sorry, Scott.

Using Scott's list as a starting point, I am starting a year long project deep-diving on the Cantina scene.  I want to use this thread to keep track of pics and info as I go to figure out who we still need in figure form.  Hoping to post some regular updates as I am sure others will be doing a very similar project as we all wait for our HasLab Cantinas.

It's funny how many more characters have been identified and named in the last ~18 years since this thread was started.

I was surprised to learn recently that Solomahal and Atheloe are two separate characters!  Someone had a BTS photo that showed the two of them together.

Solomahal, Atheloe, and Ownellco are really confusing because LFL changed names over the years.

Atheloe is the one seated near the front of the Cantina.  He was also called "Hare Mouse" on set.

Ownellco is pretty much the same as Atheloe but with an Ascot.  He is standing by Leesub Sirln in the Cantina.  He is also the Lutrillian who walks past Obi-Wan and Luke on the streets of Mos Eisley post-Cantina. He was called "Colonel" on set.

Solomahal was once the same as one of Atheloe/Ownellco (from Decipher card game card circa 1997-2003), but that was retconned by an article in Star Wars Insider that went with the Atheloe/Ownellco names.  Now Solomahal is widely considered the Lutrillian from the Holiday Special.  The Solomahal name was re-used for a Clone Wars novel character just to add to the confusion.

Originally, Solomahal was a name used for one of the Lutrillians in A New Hope, and he has a rich background story in various sources. The more I dig into all of this, the more it becomes clear how often LFL/Kenner/Hasbro messed up source pictures from ANH and the Holiday Special when doing figure research. Some of the characters (like all the Snivvians) are really messed up because of the naming and renaming that has happened - Zutton, Zutmore, Takeel, etc.

It's fun to see this one dusted off! I'd love it if we could get at least 1-2 of these guys over the next year or two. Thanks for putting this together Jeff! It is really interesting to see how the names have changed over time and that we are still learning details about how the scene was constructed and filmed nearly 50 years later.

Right now my OT cantina setup has all of the figures made from this scene, but also the random aliens from the prequels that don't always fit in other displays. (I don't display a lot of my prequel stuff)

I know some would love to have all these guys made.  I'd be fine with that, but I'd also be fine with random aliens made from the Mandalorian, Solo, Rogue One, etc. and just stick them in the cantina.  This was half the fun of Star Wars as a kid was the wacky aliens.  I don't need them to be scene correct to put them in the cantina and add to the crowd.

So instead of having three flavors of the same character (Solomahal, Atheloe, and Ownellco with the ascot), give me totally new random aliens from the Solo bar and Sabacc scenes and I'll stick them in the Tatooine cantina. 

I know, kick me out, I'm a heretic.  I mix my different media figures together and don't care about being dogmatic about the 17 guys that they haven't made from brief snippets of Richard Pryor's comedy bit and The Holiday Special.

What a great list Jeff! A lot of the characters on here are the kind of repaints/retools that I can get really get behind. I'd happily buy pretty much every one of these, even someone like Mhyr Rho who looks like he came straight out of 'Cats'... 

Any plans to add characters from "The Mandalorian" cantina appearance?

Great list Jeff!  I'd love more freaky aliens to go in my cantina.

I've got a pretty nice cantina bar area that I've built from all the bar pieces we received over the years.  One of the things I like about it is that its a great place to put random aliens that don't fit in any other environment I've got setup.  I don't have much for PT setup, so any E2 cantina aliens get dropped in to my ANH cantina.

I can't wait to get the official Hasbro stuff to build out this diorama area more, but I'm still trying to figure out how to split the display in to a couple of shelves.  I may end up reusing some of my old bar pieces if necessary.
