The saber has a solid shaft and then a little stringy plastic on the end of it.  It slides out of his arm of course, but it doesn't telescope to become longer once it's out.

Do you have a picture of the telescoping one so I could make sure?

That's ok, I just saw a picture of it a couple of adds down.  Someone was selling it on ebay for a butt-load of cash.  I'm pretty sure that I don't have that one :(

From what I remember there are under 25 loose examples of the DT Vader........and loose ones fetch a boatload of cashola
