Wow...I'm out of town for a week and look what happens...

I'm not trying to defend Smarty or anything, I just think it was completely ridiculous for someone to get suspeneded to voice his opinion.

Chris, you could've just left his post alone as someone who put his view on this immature flame war between RS and JD, but you decided to take the childish way of posting a stupid picture that told him he had his head up his butt. So, when he tries to defend himself, you suspend him? Talk about an abuse of power...

Jeez.

Thanks for the upcoming vacation, I'm sure Smarty is enjoying his too.

Oh come on!  There is a difference between defending yourself and telling the site admin. to "STFU" and that they "have their head up their ass".  There is a right way and a wrong way to express your opinion.   Yeah, maybe the "Cluepon" thing wasn't the best way to handle it, but Smarty's response wasn't in self-defense, it was inflamatory and disrespectful and he knew what it would get him.

I'm hoping it IS a joke. I agree with DN here..actually. Somebody voicing his opinion on a website where we pride ourselves on this. While I thought the 'cluepon' was funny(where did you get this)..I also view it as an attack on SM's mentality whether true or not. We've been pretty good here about moderating and allowing counterattacks on folks before moderation begins. I only see one difference here and that is one of power level involved. It came across as a 'bullish act' to me. Was he insubordinate to a superior officer? Certainly the acronymed cuss words aren't in question as we openly allow this here. It's a joke, right?

The 'cluepon' tells SM it's a free pass to remove his head from his ass...so he reacts and tells the sender of the cluepon to remove his head.....ect.

Oh right, because who's involved...so they have the right to play God because it's their website I guess. :-\

Do one to others...ever hear that saying? We're still all people here regardless of age, power position, whatever else right? Can someone be above someone else here. This isn't about kissing up here, if something's wrong respect the folks that have the guts to admit it, right?

No, he's saying that he basically made the same comment as I, about there likely being more to the suspension than what you guys see here - but I got my post out before he did his (due to being on Yahoo Messenger) - but he ignored the "Someone else has posted before you", thus didn't realize he was repeating what I said.
