Hey I have a quick question, which is more rare the hong kong or the japanese kubrick sand trooper? Or are they the same rarity?

The Sandtrooper ratio was the same for both HK and JP. It was 3 Orange and 1 White per case of 12. The only regional deviation in series 2 was the Cantina Band Member....

You either got all orage or all white. 3 boxes from a MC had the oranges. 1 box had the whites. Kinda like with Han Carb. 3 boxes out of the MC had the block, 1 box had the hibernation sickness Han.

On rarity, I don`t think Medicom ever claims stuff to be rare. They just make the stuff and put it out there, then ebayers and other resellers start with all the "very rare! Hard to find!" crap.

Which cantina band member is rare, guess it depends were your order came from I guess. Most of us got our orders I think from HLJ & only got the Japan version. Had to hunt for the Hong Kong version which BBTS had in stock for a good price.

I would say the Hong Kong version as most of our orders came from Japan.

Hi my name is Simon and I'm a Kubaholic. It's been 2 months since my last fix.

BTW, why did we chage the thread name to Kubrick Addicts Anonymous. I may have an addiction but it is one I certainly don't want to kick. Can we change to "Kubricks - come get some sugar, baby"?

I agree, I am not anonymous in the least, and I sure don't want to give them up!

:o :o :o

Nice. I wish to touch them.

Indeed.
I want to as well.
I just bought some Oscar cases and I'm getting two more for the 4 carded Bricks I have.
They work perfectly.

I put two loose Sandtroops in with the carded one, I have little stands that connect, looks good.
Going to get Sith to take good pics for me to show you guys.

Crack

Please give more information regarding oscar cases (I recently ran into a few carded babies I want to incarcerate)

Here's the link to Oscar's Cases, his cases are awesome & I highly recommended him.  :)

Ocsar will also custom make cases if needed.

Thanks for the link to Oscar's Cases.  Speaking of cases, does anyone know how to get a hold of those small acrylic cases for loose Kubricks I've seen on eBay?

I think those cases are long gone by now, released twice I think. I haven't seen any around since I got mine back in the end of October last year. Keep your eyes open tho, ya never know!

Also in addition to DSJ's reply, try checking out local shops that carry baseball cards. I've come across some acrylic cases (that look similar to the ones long gone on the website) that are normally used to house baseball/football/hockey cards and some work perfectly for housing treasured Kubricks...Other than that, the only real place is just to keep your eyes open on ebay, i usually see those cases up for sale every once in awhile.

I've not been following Kubricks too closely anymore, but I gotta say, Im really missing the little guys.

Let's say I wanted to get back into them. What would I need to expect to pay to pick up a full collection, including chase figures from all series, boxed sets, and carded figures? No Bearbricks of 400%, but everything else Star Wars Kubrick.

I just grabbed a lot recently in order to get the carded figs, so I am going to be selling or trading all 6 basic sets, an early bird set, the TRU box sets, and the luke/leia speeder bike set. I wasn't even going to mention it here since I figured everyone had nearly all of those, but if anyone is interested in the lot or a good chunk of it, let me know.

Update 10/5:  Sorry for creating a classified on this thread- I posted the collection in the classifieds area under Dan's for sale list.
