Hes, as soon as the afterburner kicked off and he flipped up on that bridge or whatever it was, I said "WOAH!" aloud.

This movie had so much going against it from the onset that there is nothing short of a miracle that could save it. Even with Michel Bay directing and poor character design decisions, the movie could conceivably have been salvageable if the story was any good, but the script just doesn't work. It's empty of anything meaningful.

What?!?  A summer blockbuster that is empty of anything meaningful?  Inconceivable!    :P

Doesn't matter, you know it's still going to make $75 million in it's opening weekend...   ;)

I wasn't overly excited for this movie, just because the designs and rumors have things looking and sounding a little wonky - but I will admit after seeing a couple TV spots over the past week - parts of it look kind of cool.  It will probably just be a rental for us, but seeing "big robots smashing things" in those commercials, I could really see the kiddos liking this.  It won't matter to them that they don't look like "our Transformers".  It will be interesting to see how it does at the box office.  At least Optimus Prime will have the same voice as we grew up with :).

Did you guys know that Agent Smith voices Megs??

Frank Welker may still voice a character in the movie though.  Kinda sad that we can't have both of the original actors, but at least we have Cullen.

An action shot...

I am more on the fence than ever.

What do you think ?

Please tell me thats not supposed to be Megatron he's fighting there.

I wanted Welker too, but I'm intrigued by this choice.

Maybe Welker can still do Soundwave in the (gasp) sequel.

I think that's Bonecrusher, one of the other Decepticons.

I read this morning that there are rumors that the Dinobots might appear in the movie.  There is some screen caps from a recent clip HERE relating to that.

His voice work in V for Vendetta was fantastic , so i'm guessing this is the only thing thats not gonna suck about the movie.

Well, it looks like Welker will reprise his role as Megatron...in the video game

Welker - Cullen

Don't expect to see any of these guys in the 07 movie....Much less any true Dinobots.

Larger than life promotion

Pepsi to promote the film. It'd be awesome if we got a new Pepsi Prime out of it.  :)

I'm actually starting to get hyped for this movie. Seeing the TV spots and hearing about Weaving's casting really helped to change my mind, now we'll just see if the movie delivers.
