I am still of the opinion that "HasLab" should be reserved for things that really have ZERO hope any other way. If you can make a $140 Vader TIE Advanced, $140 Mando N-1, $200 Slave I repaint, and $230 Jabba Palace playset via EE or Pulse, then you can do a $150 TIE Avenger or $200 Y-Wing as Pulse Exclusives.
I also really don't like the idea of HasLab being something we already have. I don't want a HasLab to feel like an obligation to rebuy and upgrade. I'd rather get that "all-new" feeling if I'm spending $350-500.
I guess I'd hear the arguments for the U-Wing since the toy we got was drastically different from the ship that is actually in the movie Plus it would mean there would be some TVC support for it (hoping everyone who interacted with it would get a figure - Melshi, Kleya, Bix, Brasso, Wilmon, Baze, Bodhi, etc.).
The Republic Gunship though... I like the version I have. It's big enough to hold a bunch of figures and get the point across but not so big I can't find a place to put it. I don't know that I need a suped-up HasLab version that can fit better-scaled bubble turrets or be modified to hold an AT-TE or something. I'm not looking to create some AOTC centerpiece style table display and to be honest, I'm a bit tired of TCW-era Clones and the repaints recently in TVC. I don't want a HasLab Gunship to give Hasbro an excuse for more clone repaints... more Ahsoka... more Anakin... more Rex...
I guess we'll see what Friday's panel brings.
