It's slightly different in the new show, though. The astromech droid is different and it's in the middle rather than on the side. This would justify a new version in my opinion.
I'd assume that Hasbro can (and probably will) do a straight repaint of the forthcoming Obi-Wan Delta 7B JSF for Plo's ship (especially now that there are no integrated astromech heads and only a socket), as well as probably every other Jedi who has their own starfighter (Anakin's yellow/gray is the only other one I've seen so far). I don't know if it would work or not, as I don't have the new 7B mold, but with its prominence in the last episode, could Hasbro reuse the hyperdrive ring from the 30AC Obi-Wan JSF TRU set, pack it with the Plo Koon 7B JSF, and have another store exclusive item, maybe even at Target for all-too-recent nostalgia's sake?
And am I alone in hoping that, barring them showing up in the basic figure line, the confirmed second series of "Droid Factory" figures next year is animated Jedi/Clone Pilots and their respective astromechs? I mean, thus far, we could get:
-Plo Koon with his astromech
-Obi-Wan and R4-P17
-Matchstick and an animated R5 unit
-Ahsoka and an animated R2-KT
-Another Clone Pilot from Shadow Squadron and another animated R2 unit
-Another Jedi with their respective astromech
And throw in the whole "Droid Factory" approach with a BAF of the RA-7 style spy droid Ventress used in the animated film on Teth.
After Friday night's episode, I really want a Y-Wing and a Plunk Droid.
