I'm heading up to my in-laws place to get together with Patty's side of the family up in her hometown of Ojai (small town).  Watch the town's fireworks, parade, drink a bunch of beer, have a lot of BBQ, smoke some stogies, etc...  Should be fun and relaxing!

Then on Saturday, I've got to hightail it 2 hours back down down to attend the Anime Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center (for Dale's butt!)...  I'm not into Anime, or most other Japanese stuff.  I'm just going for the Kubricks!  Hoping to find some nice deals there on them, and maybe even find a carded Kubrick Fett or Luke for under $500...   8)  We'll see how it goes...

Then I'm hitting Disneyland again, to check in on the Star Tours scene there.  And finally down to my grandparents house to sort through all of their stuff, including 3 generations of tools that belonged to my grandpa, since they had to leave almost everything behind when they finally moved into an old folks home a few weeks ago.

So that's my Holiday weekend in a nutshell...  (hey, you asked!  :P)

Going to a BBQ at a friends house on a lake, get tanked, watch the fireworks, overeat, etc, etc, etc.

Next day I have a golf match.  Should be fun with a hangover.

Bump!  So what's everyone up to this year?  We're going to the in-laws place to watch their (small) town's parade and firework show.  Anyone going to partake in this...?

We are celebrating tomorrow night at my parents house.  They have 4 acres and we always have a great big firework display.

Then, I'm leaving Sunday morning to spend a week in Cancun with my wife.  So we'll spend the 4th drunk on the beach.   :)

I'm going to the Colorado Rockies (baseball) game and seeing the fireworks there, then I'll probably go cause some trouble with all my illegal fireworks. ;D

Not sure yet. I bet I'll end up down in Cedar Rapids since they have live music and fireworks this weekend.

Probably just hang out with the family.  We might go to the Taste of MN to watch fireworks.  Hopefully there aren't any crazy women pitching their babies off the Wabasha Street bridge into the Mississippi River like the last time I went there.

Pittsburgh, in its infinite wisdom, decided to not only have our usually nightmarish 4th of July festivities, but ALSO to mix them with the Pittsburgh Regata, which is always a nightmare for anyone wanting to get into the city.

Monday's fireworks downtown, and the city's sort of known for its fireworks shows actually from what I understand, so of course the 4th show is always the biggest of the year and people come from quite a ways to see them...  Coupled with the Regata it's going to be a nightmare, but I'm pondering TRYING to get to my buddy Dan's house (other side of the city too, lovely) and take the "T" in on Monday to check out the show...  It'd be fun, but not the trip in or out of the city.   :-\

Some idiots in my neighborhood decided to celebrate early. Last night they were lighting Roman Candles from their backyard. And it was windy outside. ::) Luckily nothing burned.

Well I planned on purchasing a large amount of fireworks, but I guess things didnt work out.  But I had to work all morning, now I'm just waiting for the steaks to be done.  :) Oh and later I might go with my lady friend to watch the fireworks  ;)
