What Fett (from Series 1 or Fett Series) is this chase for DX1?  Is it a repack?

It is a repaint (more screen accurate?) of the chase Fett from Series 1.

Kind of surprised that nerdlinger hasn't posted it here, but he wrote over on KN that he expects product to ship out from Japan on June 29th and to be in stock in the next two weeks.

Just bought a pre-order of the 6 basic figures plus Jabba from eBay for $90 shipped.  I think that's a fair price.  I couldn't justify buying the entire box for a handful of extras that I can't even complete Jabba with.

Here's to hoping the guy actually gets these in within a month.

Sounds like you got them from the same place I did. I agree that it's not worth paying double that price just for a few extras that you don't need and the chance of getting an underwhelming chase figure. That said, I'm pretty excited about finally getting this set!

Instinctoy has updated with details regarding DX 1 Jabba part breakdown. By the sounds of it, the Palace display is serving as the third chase - meaning no third Kubrick to track down.

I think Luke = Tail/Dais and Chewie = railing/hookah

I certainly don't need to worry about looking for chases then.  I'm thinking about changing my order from a Box of 12 to just a Set of 6+Jabba now.

In general I agree but I do love the red coat Bib as a chase and look forward to having that one in my collection.

Yeah the chase situation with the DX wave has been pretty disappointing overall.

I want to get the chases but I really hope that the Fett can be picked up for cheap. I would like to get it to complete the collection but would be very slow to pay big money for him.

I'd don't really mind the Red Bib.  Its cool how Medicom pays attention to the old Vintage style figures.  However, I just have a really hard time getting excited over two repaints as rare chases.    The Red Bib would have been a perfect "common" chase.  However, since he's "rare" that means his price is going to sky-rocket.  I'm not going to out and pay $100+ for him.  Not sure I'd even want to pay more than $35 for him.   I've got more Boba Fetts than I'd ever want/need so its easy to pass on hunting that one down.  I guess I should just be happy that this wave won't cost me too much money.

I'm glad the chases suck as it means we don't have to spend stupid money on decent characters.

So bring on the "snow" boba fett and the Han with rainbow coloured gloves (a nod to the Uzbekistan bootleg vintage line) for the Hoth DX set!!!!

Regarding the chases, it seems like the cheap repaint syndrome has hit Medicom hard recently.  They've been re-releasing Disney figures, including chases, out the wazoo recently (Toy Story, various 2-packs, etc.).  And they even just re-released 2 of the Metal Gear RAH figures.  Maybe this is affecting the Star Wars waves, as well.

I suspect that since they are now offering Build-A-Figures/Vehicles, maybe the repainting was a necessary evil to make those concepts cost out?

OK, so then:
- 3:12 R2 always comes with Jabba's torso
- 3:12 C3PO always comes with Jabba's head
- 2:12 Luke Skywalker always comes with railing/hooka
- 2:12 Chewbacca always comes with Tail/dais-right
- 1:12 Amanaman always comes with dais-center
- 1:12 Bib Fortuna always comes with dais-left

So, if you buy a box of 12, you'll have:
1x complete Jabba w/dais
1x Jabba w/hooka (only 1 dais piece)
1x tail-less Jabba (Head and torso only)

And, if you do pick up both chases, you could use those parts to complete a second full Jabba w/dais.  That would help you recoup some of the cost of the chases I guess...

You are probably correct.  The price didn't seem to go up much from the Boba Fett Collection.  I'll just shut up, take my Jabba, and be happy I'm not hunting chases.
