Brian, I know it's not you, so please excuse the sarcasm in my responses to the following quotes, all plucked from your posts of recent:
They mention rumors that the comics will be going away from ML starting with the Hasbro waves,
Read: cost saving measure, nothing more. The comics are going because Hasbro can't deliver the same quality of product that ToyBiz did at the same price point. The easiest way to cut costs is to offload that comic.
Heroes" line (of Hasbro) might be switching to 5" scale after the first wave or two, and the figures might be available direct from Hasbro online.
With the same readily available supply as Scorch

I'm fairly certain I'll be able to go pick up Thor V4.2 online at any point, for more than I can snag the pegwarming retail version and at a price $2-3 higher than regular retail, but why would I want to?
Also that switching scale deal has me more than a little concerned. I fear they may do something like that so they have better "ownership" of the line. At which point I won't be buying any more of these. Oh, I know it says the "Heroes" line, but I'm paranoid by nature.
Blob is an eight figure BAF? Why?
Rhetorical question, I know why. It just sucks that I have to buy 4 figs I don't want (enough with the Thors and Wolverines already and movie figs in ML waves suck - see movie Daredevil, Punisher and to a lesser extent, Blade) just to get the fat bastard.
Ayup, rhetorical indeed, and what a pisser. Not a surprise, just annoying is all. The weak spots in the assortments are proving quite annoying to me with respect to the BAFs. Four figures out of the assortment and I need to buy two more to finish the BAF? I know it's a marketing tool, but why are they releasing weak spots in the lineup? Are those really Legends and do we need 3 Thors in the space of a year? I understood a second version, not many people were on board when the first (and better) version was released. Your point regarding the mixing in of movie figures is also apt. Why not put that Rogue figure in the line, instead of the eighth version of Beast

If the line is now "collector" driven, there is no place in the line for movie figures. Period. Target the kids in the kiddie based lines with the pretty blue packaging.
