Clone Wars Wave 15 (aka Fall 2010 Wave 1.5)

According to RS, TCW12-19 are all re-packs. (The photos seem to confirm this numbering as well) So hopefully the first 3 Fall Waves will be 4 figures apiece, mostly new stuff.

I know Wave 2 was rumored to be all repacks too, but I can't remember what thread that was in...

According to the case packs listed at the on-line shops (EE, BBTS, etc), yes it appears that Wave 2 is all repack/carry-forward figures...

Why is Hasbro re-releasing certain figures again, like Ventress and Odd Ball? Are they due to be in Season 3, perhaps? Or is it simply because they've been outta circulation for so long?

The thing is though - Ventress hasn't exactly been out of circulation - she's in the TRU Clone Wars tin, with all of her original accessories and she's also in the Jedi Showdown (I think that's the name) battle pack along with Dooku, Anakin and Obi-Wan.

So my opinion on this is that she hasn't been individually carded in a while and they're looking to expand the new "Shadows of the Dark Side" line with as many figures as possible.

Look at Ashoka Tano - why is she still being packed with the baby Hutt? There isn't something else that she could come with instead at this point? Nope, of course not, that would mean that Hasbro would actually have to spend money to make something new for her to be packed with. And that would cut into the profit margins on the figure.

So I guess they pretty much HAVE to release Waves 1 and 2 together. I don't even see the point in having a Wave 2 for that matter...if you can't work even 1 new figure into the assortment, just roll them up into Wave 1.

I just hope Hasbro has their reps culling the old blue/white TCW packages from the shelves before they get re-stocked after the launch. The last thing we need is 3 different packaging varieties with the same pegwarming figures.

It think that'll be the case anyway IIRC, the skus for the current and previous packaging for SL, TLC and CW are going to be discontinued. So having them on the same pegs wouldn't work. My guess is any old stock will be found in the clearance sections of most retailers. Trusting that employees do their job and put them in the proper areas of the store.

I was able to score an entire case of them last night - it wasn't the case I REALLY wanted with the four new figures, but since I want them all for my MOC collection, I snagged it anyway.

I also saw that same Wave 2 case again this morning....

Gotta see if I can get them to bring out a Wave 1 case and I'll be good with CW for a while...

One thing I forgot to mention was that all of the figures had stickers on the top of the bubble for the Bric mail-away promotion, so I am already in possession of that certificate, unfortunately, I bought the entire wave to keep MOC, so I'll have to get the cert some other way...
