I just ordered another 212th troop builder pack. I'm slowly giving the older clones to my son, who is more than happy to receive them. He'll beat the **** out of them while I fill the ranks with better clones (and eventually he'll probably get all of those too).

Today was the first proper toy run that I've done in a while.  I work 4 day weeks and usually have a couple of weekdays off.  So I hopped in the car after getting the kid to school and proceeded to hit 3 Walmarts, 6 Targets and 1 Toys R Us (yawn, what a waste of time!).

Target came up big today!  I managed to get the Tusken Warrior (basic carded figure) that I'm going to have signed by the actress at a future date.  The Grand Inquisitor was the newest find (along with Ahsoka from the same wave, which I passed on).  But the best find?  Half price Speeder bikes from The Mandalorian at Target!  It wouldn't scan on the price check stations or at the register.  Thankfully I had the foresight to take a photo of it on the shelf, because the shelf tag had the DPCI number and the reduced price on it - $22.49.  Which was less than it showed up as being priced on the Target app.  So the store honored the purchase!

******* bummer, I received the clone 4-pack and it's the version with the unpainted black bar on the helmet. I'm going to see if I can return them, because I don't feel like painting the things on there myself (nor should I have to).

Same here.  I finally bit the bullet on the 212th Clones, and also got the Imperial Officers plus the Ewoks 2-pack.  And sure enough I got clones without the brow lines.  At least I only bought one set.  Still, it's disappointing.

Yesterday i found the new TVC Thrawn figure at GameStop and since it was the same price as the one I had preordered on Amazon and a nice card I went ahead and grabbed it. They had a few figures from the Ahsoka TVC wave too.

I stopped at a combination record / comics / pop culture store during the week and saw Morgan Elsbeth and the Deluxe Krrsantan.  But at $24.99 and $37.99 they can keep them.

So today when I stopped at an area GameStop store?  Their prices were more reasonable.  No Morgan or Santo.  But they had the TVC Ahsoka repack on the AHSOKA cardback (pass), and the HK-87 droid. So the droid came home with me!

I might have gone overboard this weekend… Preorders for Wave 33 & the KOTOR two-pack hit, I also did some Black Friday shopping on Pulse and picked up some additional army builder packs, a discounted Boba’s Slave I, & a few other extras. Then went to a new local con in Denver, GalactiCon and they had more TVC in tbe dealers’ room than I had seen in decades at the local cons, and managed to grab a grail piece at a decent price. Here’s the haul from the con:

That $125 sounds tempting. But that would make it my 3rd version of Fett's starship?  :-X

Didn't know Axe Woves is a Target exlusive. First time I heard/saw that it's available for order.

Anway, Woves and a handful of cheapie extras coming my way.

I picked up a bunch of custom fodder at Ross this weekend. The stores around here had some TVC figures for $3.99 each. I grabbed 7x Obi-Wan (VC245), 4x Padawan Anakin (VC80), 2x Cassian Andor (VC261).

I've seen pictures of people finding the 2021 Wal-Mart Deluxe figures (Ahsoka, Flametrooper, Stormtrooper w/ E-WEB), The Rescue set, & TBS Rey's yellow Skywalker lightsaber.

I picked up Ahsoka and Cassian from ROSS on Saturday for $3.99, heck of a good deal. I saw a bunch of Anakins and a Mace too. Would love to find some of that other stuff like the E Web!

Well... after 14 years of being 'retired' from the hobby, I got sucked back in.  :D  It's nice to see many familiar names are still around here.
Decided to binge watch Rebels to see if it improved my opinion of Ahsoka (it did) and that led me to 'just check and see' what sort of stuff Hasbro was making these days.
I had no idea Hasbro Pulse/ Haslab was a thing, so it was very cool to see that the Sail Barge, Razor Crest, Ghost, and Cantina were produced. Unfortunately, I missed out on the timing of those campaigns, but still really really neat to see those were made. I ordered the Krrsantan and Zeb deluxe figures from Pulse (missed the Imperial Officers on outlet) and thought that would be it. Just enough to scratch the itch and not get carried away.

Naturally, I've spent the better part of the last month learning about all the things I missed and where to find them affordably. No Ollies within 500 miles of me, so most of my catching up came from BBTS, Amazon, Gamestop, and a collectibles expo nearby... along with a good bit of driving out to different comic/collectibles shops. I have a well-earned sunburn on the driver-side of my torso now. Safe to say, the spark's been lit again.

Won't list much, but some of the notable finds I've had this month were:

TVC Hera - Gamestop online was the only place I could find her. I think she's back in stock at BBTS now though.
TVC Chopper - drove about 2 hours south to a comic shop to snag him. Just didn't sit right with me, having the Rebels crew without Chopper.
TVC Cara Dune - had to ebay this one, but I'm pretty much caught up on the Mandalorian cast now.
TBS Toryn Farr, VC31 Obi Wan, and TLC Super Battle Droid - drove back down 2 hours after finding out there was another collectibles shop across town from where I found Chopper.

Most of the first-run TVC are out of the question right now and that's given me a new perspective on repacks/slight repaints. I hated repacks back in the day, but I've been leaning pretty heavily on some of them to do this catching up without losing my mind.

It's been wild reliving some of the thrill of collecting again. I wouldn't have been able to do this without Jeff's TVC release list. That googledoc is getting some heavy mileage.
Wonderful to see that JediDefender is still here. Hope I can stick around and participate for a bit  :) I should also add a blanket apology for any/all of my antics from 15 years ago.

Welcome back, indeed!  I've got a good number of extras if you're looking to plug some TVC holes.  Feel free to send me a DM.

Welcome back! :)

I also took a hiatus for a while and returned to collecting a few years ago. For me, I found that trying to be patient when looking for deals and prioritizing the things I like most rather than just buying anything because I want to complete "TVC" has helped me both stay excited about the hobby and not overspend on backfilling the collection. I've been trying to spread TVC 1.0 and some of the earlier TVC 2.0 stuff out over the years rather than going for it all at once. I have been buying older figures here and there when I see a good deal or there is a figure I want to pick back up. You could always keep an eye out for lots too, and you may luck out.

I also changed my tune a bit with the TVC 2.0 repacks, for the most part I am ok with just getting the cheaper 2.0 repack version of a figure and calling it good.
