I can only imagine what Canuckia will have to say if we end up with a Panthers/Coyotes Finals.  :-X

I guess the Devils took care of that one.

This is mean and uncalled for to our Canadian friends but,

THE CUP STAYS IN THE U.S.!!!!!!

Meh.  It stands to reason it would stay in the U.S.  More teams alone stacks the odds.  Deeper pocket owners too.

The fabric of the league has changed dramatically for players too.  They used to want to play to win and weren't so concerned about the market they were in.  Not so anymore.  Canadian franchises have a distinct disadvantage in that respect.  Maybe not Vancouver.  Toronto shouldn't but they've been mismanaged for so long that it's become less desirable.  Montreal and its language issues makes it less desirable.  Winnipeg/Edmonton are probably on par, objectively speaking, with Columbus and Buffalo.  Calgary?  Not sure what their problem is.  Proximity to Edmonton perhaps.

It's all the same to me.  The Bruins had more Canadians on their team last year than the 'Nucks did, so the Cup still finds it way home with the players.

A few more years of declining U.S. dollars coupled with subsequent increased taxation and maybe we'll see a shift.   :P

I sat down to watch one hockey game last night and sat through almost two instead. And nothing to show for it.  :-[

I don't see how any team comes back from a crushing 3 OT loss like that. That was horrifically brutal and emotionally draining.

At least Ovi had a good view of the winning goal...FROM THE BENCH.

I stayed up to watch the Capitals lose in 3OT (I'm an Ovechkin fan) and the Twins get no hit. Sucky sports night.

Yeah, I thought the Caps would have that one.  Rangers have choked on their previous few OT games so I wasn't holding out hope.  Plus, compared to the Caps, the Rangers looked tired in those 3 OTs.

But thankfully, Gaborik scored.  He's been due.

I did, too, since the results went our way!  I still need to get some Rangers gear.

And weren't L.A. and Phoenix two of the Original Six? (that's a joke)

Stupid Capitals!!!

The way the Rangers are going the past two series, they've been win 1, lose 1.

But I was impressed that the Rangers were setting up an offense during power plays instead of tossing the puck behind the net and wasting time.

Hey Nick, if you're a fan of the Capitals, does that make you a Capitalist?

That Caps game SUCKED. How many soul crushing losses does one fanbase have to endure in a single series?

As hard as it is to score in hockey anytime, when you have a lead and 10 seconds on the clock you should win 100% of the time without exception. Anything is pure CHOKE.

Screw it, whether it's six or seven, they're done. I won't waste any more time watching the slow motion crash and burn.
