Got shipping notices for 4 of 6 that I ordered from HasbroPulse. They're all being shipped separately.
I'm guessing Hasbro is still using FedEx to manage their inventory and fulfillment.
All six figures come in a case, so instead of mailing them all together FedEx decided to ship them separately to drive up their revenue and Hasbro's cost.
Now my wife is going to get twitchy thinking that I've ordered an obscene amount of Star Wars stuff when four packages all arrive on the same day.
Same thing here. It was beyond ridiculous as well as wasteful. I had 4 Black Series figures ship out yesterday in 4 separate packages. Now while I got in on Hasbro Pulse early to get the free shipping perk, it's still wasteful as shipping expenses for Hasbro goes and I want Hasbro Pulse to continue to be a reliable outlet for collectors as we're in a major transitionary point in retail. For me 3 of the 4 arrived today and in excellent condition with good packing material, and the 4th is due tomorrow.
Part of me is wondering if this is an overreaction to how critical a lot of people were about card condition when some of the more recent TVC figures shipped and the cards weren't exactly in good condition. If it is, that's a bizarre decision to make, because the Black Series packaging is pretty durable and easy to get multiple units in a fairly small box. The Vintage Collection? Well, the cardstock on this current incarnation is thinner and more prone to warping and bending, and packing more than one figure in a box increases the chances of you not getting a figure in packaging that's close to mint.
