How are international people getting these?

Through local marketing arrangements that Hasbro is making for OUS regions.  Example In the UK/EU you can pre-order through Zavvi.

Almost 7400 now.

I think we'll hit the 10k backers by the end of the backing period pretty easily, but I'm wondering if they'll announce new unlocks along the way?

Approaching 7500. I agree, 10K feels very likely. Hope the next unlock is super cool.

I'm sure some people are looking to sell these for profit, but I would be surprised if that was anything more than a small percentage of sales.  I don't know of too many people that have thousands of dollars sitting around to tie up in speculative Haslab purchases.  Maybe an extra here or there, but even ten of these things would set you back quite a bit, and potentially not worth the rist.

I am also underwhelmed with the Escape Pod.  I wonder if we as a community shot ourselves in the foot by ordering so quickly.  Would the incentives have been better with a slower order build?  I would think they could toss in something spectacular to drive up the orders if they needed to, but its growing fast enough that they might not see any value in adding anything extra.

Yeah, me too.  You know they designed this in from the beginning, and maybe chose to exclude it for cost reasons until base level profits were hit.  Although it would be really easy to be cynical and say they designed and planned this all along, so the unlock is largely for show.

I'd be happy with an exclusive carded Offworld Jawa, carded carbonite frozen bounties, exclusive carded remnant Stormtroopers, etc. at each level. 

I know hoping for a Blurrg or a all new unique figure is probably unrealistic, but if they're going this route I hope they chose something collector focused.  A Blurrg, or the heist team from Episode 6 (The Prisoner) would be awesome.

I've wondered about what Justin said. Could they base the tier add ons on how well it was selling? It's a Blurrg at 8000 if on Nov. 3 It's at 6500. Instead It's the escape pod they planned anyway since it hit 6000 a day after it went live.

I'm leaning this way, but I'm predictable. 

Hope they open up the flood gates for the 10k unlock, but this item is pretty cool as it is. Can't wait to get it.
