Thanks everyone, sincerely. It was days after my 50th birthday, such a wake up call for what the rest of my life means to me.

I did not intend to derail the thread

I think it's a sign of the quality of a community when we can set aside our hobby and have a conversation about what's important - THE PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY!  I know that you and I discussed this in another setting, but I'm still very glad that you can see that people care, and are glad that you got treatment and are doing better.  I know that I am.  And it's a reminder to us all that we're not the little kids who saw the OT in the theaters anymore.  We have fuller lives, families, responsibilities, etc, and that we have to be more conscious of taking care of ourselves.

Wholeheartedly agree. Don't feel bad for 'derailing' anything. We are just talking about movies, tv, & toys here normally, none of which are particularly important in the grand scheme of life.

Had a similar wake up recently.  I’m 44 and in February I found out I have a genetic heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.  I could live to a ripe old age without any major consequence, or I could need open heart surgery, heart transplant, or I could be one of the small percentage of people who just have sudden cardiac arrest from it and die.  So now I have a cardiologist.  The good news is he says he’s not that worried about me and that I’m on the less concerning end of the spectrum for people who have this.  Super lame though.

Well, since I turned Disney Plus back on for a month or two for Skeleton Crew, I finally watched the last 3 episodes of Acolyte.

They had a few moments in them that were okay, but none of it changed my opinion of the show, I still think it was awful and generic and predictable.  The only two things worth bringing up for me after it was that 1) it was cool to see live-action Plagueis even if just for a few seconds... and 2) that green lady Jedi sure did Sol dirty at the end.

Hopefully they can find a way for Plagueis to get into some other stories that are better than this one was...

The fight scenes were well choreographed, but there was a lot of poor writing.  Characters' motivations changing on a whim, it was just lazy at times.

You would think Jar Jar Abrams was involved.
This is the way.

I honestly think this one is better than Skeleton Crew.  I have a feeling both are going to have the same let down of an ending.

The biggest problem with Acolyte is they basically lied to us as to what the show was about.  It was supposed to be about the Sith, which seemed quite incidental to the plot.  It did show the arrogance of the Jedi and showed how Palpatine was able to bring them to ruin.

I guess we have to assume Vestara didn't say anything of significance to Yoda, otherwise, Yoda kept the existence of the Sith hidden from the rest of the Jedi.

My guess is that some of this will get told through the books/comics since that is where Vestara came from.  I'm terribly behind on the books so I'm still only in the second chunk of High Republic stuff currently.
