Well, my Christmas is ruined thanks to an epic shipping debacle. No Ghost for me. :'(
When trying to set a pickup location for this on the app, they wouldn’t allow me to do it at the two places closest to me, instead they assigned me to a pickup location at The Dollar Store in the middle of nowhere.
When I got a text saying the item had been delivered, I went straight there to pick it up but they didn’t have it. Some guy came out and told me they refused delivery because it was too big to fit on their shelf. I asked who signed for it then and he said THE DRIVER did. (!) and then she promptly put it back on the truck, ostensibly to return to the sorting center but who knows. It may be in her living room by now under the tree for her kids.

The app shows it was delivered and signed for (JJHHDD was all it said) so it has been a nightmare just trying to get them to open a case about it. I’ve had to call three different times, and even filed a complaint with the BBB because I refuse to believe it is legal or ethical for a driver to sign for packages addressed to someone else.
It’s been over four hours now, no one knows where it is and there are no status updates other than it saying Delivery Exception which means nothing. No one can even contact the driver to attempt redelivery at my house now.

I guess best case they can try to redeliver it to my house sometime in the next few days but it seems just as likely they will return to sender or it will just “disappear” in their system and I will be out all that money and no Ghost either.
Kind of a fitting end to this ****** year I guess.
