For those buying these (Rob), do you think one could make a squad of Stormtroopers that would look OK if they were not with regular 3.75 figs?

They are pretty bulky and missing some black paint, especially the visible white neck. And they have hexagonal weapon ports on their arms. These all detract from really displaying with other more "realistic" modern figures.

That said, I bought 2 to pose ironically squaring off with some POTF2 Rebel Fleet Troopers. They are much better in that setup than other modern Stormtroopers or POTF2 ones, which have aged very poorly.

I don't go to retail enough to be able to track turnover of the pegs.  Does anyone have any sense for if these are moving or not?

I'm not a fan of a slightly different scale and hope these die and turn in to a 5POA 3.75" line.  I do think there needs to be a more value oriented line for the masses, but I really hate the different scale.

From what I have seen at Target, Mando, Grogu, and Vader sell through pretty quick.  Ahsoka and Luke, not so much.  Stormtrooper is sort of hit or miss.

Lol, what am I doing with my life?!

Hopefully finding some small enjoyment out of knowing that you own every possible variant that exists.

We all know how much you prefer "all new" characters, so at least take solace in knowing a few of those are coming to this line soon (Beskar Armor Gideon, Grogu/IG-12).

Ha!

And yes, one of each, it’s fun.  It also drives me to buy dumb stuff and keeps
me from helping vote with my wallet.

I definitely would rather they not bother with new figures in this line.

Send them to TVC!

I saw a bunch of new figures at Walmart over the weekend including single carded Moff Gideon and the 2-pack version with Bo Katan. (He has different gear of course) I ended up buying Darth Maul for some reason but I will probably return it because $20 for that thing is ridiculous. I can’t even recall where he looked like this anyway.

Good grief.  I bought the regular Darth Maul the other day (will add my traditional photo-for-kicks thing here later)... it's probably the best looking one they've done so far but that's because it looks just like the 1999 versions.  He's just a little larger of course.

Presenting, Taul Maul.

From a "these are for kids" perspective, I get it, but I still think it was such a weird choice to go with a pure 4" scale figure line.  All of them seem to be taller than their 3.75" scale friends.

I still haven't picked any of these up and more and more it's looking like I never will (the first Han Solo in this line will test me though).

Yeah agreed.  I’m realllll on the fence about buying them but every time I skip a subline I regret it later.  I’m buying them as a better-safe-than-sorry thing, but if they were just crummy 3.75” scale figures a lot of completists would be buying them.  They seem to sit at retail, around here at least.  I can’t imagine the line has real longevity.

I bit the bullet and bought the armored Moff Gideon.  And that's my first and only purchase from this line so far.  There just isn't one in the line, and I have no idea when Hasbro might make one.  And I think they might be banking on this kind of mentality - again, they're doing the double dip.
