Got a shipping email from Entertainment Earth today, Dr Ezavan should be here this Saturday.

And he came a day early. The updated paint apps look pretty good and the cardback is really sharp. Not bad at all for a rerelease. I'd be astonished if Ponda Baba isn't rereleased this year too.

Looks like EE has listed this case assortment as "cancelled".

Doesn't seem to be any official reason why yet.  Individual figure preorders seem to still be good for now though.

 

They didn't even send me a notification. But my preorder ended up getting canceled too. I guess I'll have to go back and add individual preorders for the rest or wait and see if they have an updated case.

So...
- EE put this case up for pre-order
- then they cancelled a bunch of pre-orders and changed the status to "cancelled"
- then they added "This assortment will not be manufactured. If you wish to purchase these action figures, please order the individual figures." to the listing
- then they changed it from "cancelled" to "pre-sold out"

And now Jayson is reporting that some people are still getting this case from EE even though orders were cancelled and a limited amount of the case was even available for in stock ordering overnight.

All the while, the pre-order listing still says "This assortment will not be manufactured. If you wish to purchase these action figures, please order the individual figures."

What a cluster****.

Ayup. I just got a notice from EE that my (canceled) case has shipped. I guess I'll have to see if they will take a few Evazans back and then cancel a few other preorders...

No signs of any status changes on the case of Snowtroopers that I ordered from EE.  Waiting to see if I get any kind of status update on that.

My case from EE arrived today. The Snowtrooper is FANTASTIC. I was fine with the VTSC version, but this is a really nice upgrade. Hasbro did a great job on the shoulder armor making it flexible enough not to impede any poses. The head articulation is a bit impeded, but it's not a big deal. I wish he had a holster but that'd be a bit tricky w/ the softgoods.

I got a shipping update notification from Amazon that they have moved up the ship date to 4/28 for Callahan.

I got the same updates for Callahan, Snowtrooper, and Evazan this morning.

Evazan comparison photos for anyone who's interested... the new one is on the right.  They are very similar, but do have some differences.  The stuff that stands out to me is the hair, and the bump/texture on the shirt.  The skin tone is slightly different too.

Thanks for the comparison. Mine is scheduled to arrive Tuesday.

Based one the pic it looks like the mold might have worn down or the paint was too thick or there were too many layers applied on the torso. Also has a duller sheen.

The paint on the vest and shirt look significantly better on the new version.  But this is still one of those re-releases where I'm on the fence about getting it.  This was clearly done to augment the Haslab Cantina release since it's a lower cost option than making some all-new Cantina aliens.

Yep I got emails that Chopper and Callahan are due here the 15th. that was a long preorder!
