I never noticed this before

I never really noticed the pic of the stormtrooper on the front of the landspeeder box.   If you look at it he is holding Chewies rifle and not a blaster. Odd but the strange part is i collect landspeeders and have a wide array of boxes and never noticed it. Thats what I get for focusing on condition

If I had to guess about this Kenner was probably trying to make that Stormtrooper look more like a Sandtrooper, and used Chewie's weapon which somewhat resembled a long Blaster Rifle.  Just a guess.

Good eye Wayne. Interesting though, not all the boxes have the Stormtrooper holding Chewie's rifle.

I took alook on the archive & found that different manufacturers have the Stormtrooper with the rifle or blaster.

I have noticed things like this too, like if you look on the back of some of the cards, some of the figures have different guns.  I forget which ones now though.
