CLONE WARS Cartoon... Reactions

Anyway, onto my impressions of the Anakin/Assajj episodes...

I'll keep this short, but basically I enjoyed them.  A bit much at times with the hopping around and things, but that appears to be a theme to the Clone Wars.  Lots of over-the-top Jedi action...  Use of force powers beyond the films, etc...

It's neat, but the Assajj/Anakin fight came into its own in the last episode when he offed her using the darkside.  GREAT climax.  Great enemy pawn character.  Great effects to show him "turning" and using his dark powers.  Great death for Assajj.  Great weather effects with the thunderstorm to set the mood.

This episode, in and of itself, embodies Star Wars, and the hype that SHOULD circle Episode III.

Great stuff, and a great way to show Anakin's not just disobeying orders, but he's also acting out on his dark emotions now...  Anger's going beyond vengeance for a loved one, but to all out rage when fighting his enemies.  Overpowering them as Luke overpowerd Vader himself at the end of ROTJ.

This is right up there as the best episode of the series.  Can't wait for the last two, to see if they top it.  Good stuff.

I totally felt an intro to Episode III in tonights episode!

That yell that Anakin mad too, was vicious!  I am scared of that young fellow!

This above all was the best episode, *cough* tomorrows will be better *cough*!

I did notice towards the end of the whole Clone Wars series, I started too see alot of changes in the whole republic though, I felt them too?

I like how powerful everyone is in the series.  All the force use being way over the top is just fun to watch.

I think Asajj died a crappy way. That's not fair... she could've just ran on the walls or something. Anyways the fighting was neat. It looked almost real and Anakin was ticked off!

Fantastic cartoon series.  I can't wait for the final chapter tonight.  I agree with everyone's pro's and con's about the cartoon that have been mentioned except I liked the way Asajj dies at the end.  The scream was perfect.

Now, bring on the DVD!!!

i just watched chapter 19 and i think it was awesome.  anakin looks so cool when he wins holding th red saber. he was MADE to hold a red saber.

Yup...it sure did!!  I can't say enough positive things about this cartoon.  I sure hope they continue it!!!

#20 sure was cool. A good cliffhanger for the start of Episode 3, too. I'll be interested to see how Grevious works in the movie. In this he's a bit, well, fanboyish in actions.

I liked #20 a lot, and I think the General is interesting (still looks boring, uninspired), but I still don't see his purpose.  What is the purpose of introducing yet another villian into the mix with only two hours of SW left?  Don't we have enough to cover already?

I thought the ending was way too rushed...by all acounts Ki and Shaak are still alive so it will be interesting to see how they made it out of that one

i think as far as the cartoons and the movies are concerned, durge and asajj are dead, so i think they think its probably ok to introduce a new bad guy.  how the comic books will handle this i dont know; i dont read them.

i also just downloaded chapter 20 and watched it.  it was actually pretty hard to keep up with what was happening because the action was so fast.  i ad to rewatch it like 6 times and rewind it a whole bunch to catch how each jedi died (or didnt die depends on who it was).  It took me like 20 minutes to find out how aayla got beat.  finally saw her thrown into the wall with another jedi.  general grievous is one SCARY bad guy!

WOAH at Grevous. It's nice to see that he is made to look like a giant threat AND they gave him some cool moves (The twirling sabers, hopping on one foot, holding sabers with his feet, bouncing and sticking off of walls). They did MUCH BETTER with him then they did with Durge (Probably because he will be in the next movie).

About Ki and Shaak fighting him, I have a feeling that the conclusion to that scene will start off Episode 3.

Anyone else notice the Shaggy character? His name is Sha Gi.

I'm looking forward to the DVD, and I really need to pick up the figures! I haven't been on any toy runs in a while.
