Alright SPORTS fans, name your teams!

Just curious who out there is a sports fan, and who your teams are that you root for (any and all sports are welcome here)...

As for me, I'm a big sports nut, as is my wife.  I was born and raised, and still currently reside here in SoCal (both in L.A. and Orange County/Anaheim), so you'll see my allegiances based primarily on that.  I unfortunately can't help it if my teams are all better than yours, so please don't flame me for that (*cough*Scott*cough*)!   ;D   ;)

NBA:
Lakers (lifelong RABID fan - Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Shaq, Kobe, and of course Vlade... 'nuff said)   8)
Clippers (local team, gotta cheer the poor doofs on. Someday...)   :-[

NFL:
Raiders (lifelong fan, even before they ever moved down from Oakland long ago)   >:(
Rams (my hometown team growin' up - still a BIG fan despite their move)   ???
Packers (just because my wife LOVES them - don't ask me why)   :-*

MLB: (Baseball for the abbreviationally challenged)
Angels (lifelong diehard fan - not much to cheer for 'til this year though)   :D
Dodgers (lifelong diehard fan - what's goin' on lately here?)   ::)

NHL: (reduced to only a fairweather fan of late)
Kings (the only local team for a quite a while, not to mention that Gretzky fella)   :'(
Ducks (see Clippers, plus that Kariya/Selanne line was fun to watch)   :(

MLS:
Galaxy (not that big a soccer fan really, but they're the "World" Champs, so I had to add 'em in)   ;)

WNBA:
Sparks (see Galaxy)   ;)

Collegiate:
UCLA (lifelong diehard fan, wife went there, sister school to mine)   :)
UCSB (Santa Barbara) - (my former stomping grounds, but not too big at the national level)   :P

Olympics:
Team U.S.A. all the way baby!   8)
South Korea (I lived there for the last 3 years of High School)

Women's Tennis:
Anna Kournikova - She's WAY hot!   :-*

Billiards:
Jeanette Lee (The Black Widow) - See Anna Kournikova.   :-*

Hmm, looks like I went off on a little tangent at the end there, which would better be served elsewhere, in a separate, future thread...

So, how 'bout you?  Who do you root for, if anyone?  And if you generally despise sports altogether, that's totally cool too - I realize that they're not really for everyone...

TORONTO BLUE JAYS (they're rebuilding, yeah...)

OLYMPICS

TEAM CANADA...THE MAPLE LEAF FOREVER BABY

NFL

Don't care.

NBA

TORONTO RAPTORS (more a hometown affiliation than anything)

My choices are the only correct ones :)

NFL:

Minnesota Vikings (The 2004 Super Bowl Champs)

MLB:

Minnesota Twins (The 2003 WS Champs)

NBA:

Minnesota Timberwolves (The 2003 NBA Champs)

NHL:

Minnesota Wild (The 2003 NHL Champs)

When the North Stars left though I adopted the Avalanche as my NHL team, so they are 1a in my book

NCAA:


The alma mater, the Mighty Minnesota Golden Gophers (2003 Basketball and Repeat Hockey Champs!)

Beyond that I don't really root for anyone, I hate the Packers, Bears and Lions as well as most NY and LA sports teams (except the Yankees)

I also root for the Americans in the Olympics and how can you not root for Tiger Woods every time he tees it up...Tiger Rules

NHL Edmonton Oilers 1st
       Any Canadian team 2nd

AHL Hamilton Bulldogs, Manitoba Moose

NBA What is that?

NFL Chicago Bears.

MLB I think I'll go with......(falls asleep). Sorry, just the thought of baseball makes me tired.

NFL

 HMMM let me see. I think my favorite is the Packers

MLB
 
 Yankees I have been a fan since Reggie Jackson was with them.

NHL
 
 No real favs but I watch the Red Wings when I can

NBA

  No real fav again. I watch the Bucks but don't expect much from them

College football

   Badgers

MLB -- Who gives a crap!?!?!?  Baseball is a sport that should be put to death!


NHL -- Chicago Blackhawks (even though we can't see them on cable or satellite here)

I was born and raised in South Jersey but have been living the last eight years in Massachusetts, so my picks reflect that.

NFL
-New England Patriots - The 2001 Super Bowl champions
-Philadelphia Eagles - The 2003 Super Bowl champions (The Vikings can have it the following year, Scott  ;) )

NHL
-The Broad Street Bullies Philadelphia Flyers

MLB
-The Old Town Team Boston Red Sox

NCAA
-Michigan Wolverines.  I've been a fan ever since they beat Seton Hall for the Bball championship back in the day (I was in 7th grade).  I've actually visited friends who went there and saw the campus.  Unfortunely the football team was away that weekend so I didn't get to see them play live.

I don't really care for the NBA, WNBA, or MLS, so I don't have a favorite team.

I'll also throw out my favorite Nascar driver, even though I know there aren't a lot of fans here.  The real Gordon...Robby, driver of the #31 Cingular Wireless Monte Carlo.  He doesn't get a lot of respect, but he can just about drive anything there is and he's one cocky SOB, so that's why I like him.

NBA - don't care,will not care, and have never cared

MLB -  Cleveland Indians
 
that's about all the sports i watch considering i really only like too watch skateboarding.
