Boy, I guess I've been extremely fortunate over the past 6 years... My company has usually given out
very large bonuses at year's end. The bonus is generally indicative of the overtime the recipient has put in over the course of the year, which in my case is usually a
LOT. It's tough to have to wait 'til the end of the year every year to see if all the OT was worth it, but so far it has been, so I keep plugging away...
But this year, the music industry, and therefore our company, has been been hit hard, and we actually had to lay off a quarter of our staff just a couple months ago. So I think both our bonuses and our raises are going to be down significantly next week, if we get them at all.
