New to the forum
« on: December 31, 2003, 10:11 AM »
Hello everyone.  Since I am new to the Jedidefender forums, it seemed appropriate to post here.  I am a Fan/collector from the DC Metro area.  I love all the movies (tough my love for Ep I is entirely different than my love for the others).  I started collecting in 02, and maintian my collection of 3.75" figures.

I have plenty of extras for sale or trade, and of course a wonderful list of items I am hunting down.  I have posted these in the Trading Lists area, and the Classifieds area (for the sales ones).

I look forward to participating in this forum.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes.  I have been looking around and I see that these forums can be beneficial.

The trading area the sales area, the collecting area.  So maby resources.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which threads and areas provide the most help, best information, best conversation?

Greetings.  Just ask if there's anything you need to know.  These guys are pretty darn knowledgeable.

So long as you aren't one of them there Ewok fanatics, we'll get along ;)

To answer your question, Angry Ewok, I simply did not buy into it completely.  I love it, it is SW and has light sabers and Force abilities and such, but to me it is not the same as the other 4.  I love everything about the other 4... including such diverse elements as: the whiney young Luke hoping to get some power converters, the vast array of aleins at Mos Eisley, the dastardly villians, the great droids, the impressive Imperial machinery (AT-ATs etc), the Millennium Falcon!, the space battles, the light saber battles, Yoda, and yes, even the Ewoks in some ways.  But Ep1...  OK there was light sabers, and the things I mentioned above, but there was also Jake Lloyd, and lets not even speak of "JJB".  I am really looking forward to EpIII though...

Well I look back and see that I babbled on a bit there, but the point is that while I love EpI, it does not measure up to the others in my book.  Sometimes I wonder if I just have not developed the peoper appreciation, and that after I allow my feelings on the suject to age a little I might like it better.  But then I think.. Nah!

OK, well more than anyone wanted to know, but there you have it anyway.
