I watched the 2nd episode of V, meh. It did nothing for me but I will see how far it goes which is not much for episodes according to the IMBD.

I think they are only showing 4 episodes, then going on hiatus for the olympics.  It's due back in Feb, so I think the Feb ratins are what will make or break the show.  Too bad there's such a gap in episodes - that's a great way to lose viewers IMO.

I haven't watched the second one yet, but the first was interesting enough to have me wanting to watch more.

V has done nothing for me yet.  I will give it until the break to draw me in, otherwise I will not be coming back when it does.

Ditto.  I DVR'd the second episode, but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Anyone check the remake of The Prisoner on AMC with Ian McKellen? Slightly different from the oringal series from the 60's, more our time line. Was the old man "#93" at the begining of the 1st episode a tribute to Patrick McGoohan?

I watched The Prisoner last night.  I've never seen the 60's version but had heard of it.  I thought the show was pretty good.  I'll be watching the rest of it to see how it turns out.  What's really going on.

Same idea as the original, a government agent resigns for unknown reasons. He is drugged & when he wakes up, he is in the Village & the world that he knows is all gone. The people have no names, they are numbers & he is #6 & Ian McKellen is #2. In each episode in the original show, different people play #2 as they failed to get information from #6. All they want to know is why he resigned & #6 will not tell tho he does want to know who #1 is but we never knew back in the day. Patrick McGoohan took that answer to the grave with him.

His only purpose is to escape the Village & for those that try fail & at times meet the security of the Village... the big white weather balloon.

The original had 17 episodes, this new one is only a 6 episode mini-series. I like Ian McKellen as #2, plays the part well.  ;D

I really like the concept of that show, but the host is kind of a douche. I have a hard time watching it because of him.
